iSkin, a well known manufacturer of trendy and stylish accessories for mobile devices, is now holding a one day 4th of July sale, with most products discounted by 40%. Items like iPhone/iPad cases, sleeves, screen protectors, earphones and even Macbook keyboard covers are now on sale. To score some deeply discounted iDevice loot, head over to iskin.com, fill up that shopping cart, and enter “CELEB40” at checkout (the promo is now live). Note that the offer excludes the QWest and Ducati Collection, eGift Cards and already reduced items. And if you have yet to enter iSkin’s “Cool In Dad” contest (win a prize package of over $1000 – including a new iPad), better hurry as it ends July 7th. Good luck!
EA Mobile has launched their Spring Savings sale just in time for the Easter Weekend, with select games at up to 80% off. While not as deeply discounted as previous EA deals, there are a number of titles now at $0.99, including Dragon’s Lair 2: Time Warp (TMA Review), COMMAND & CONQUER RED ALERT for iPad and SHIFT 2 Unleashed. Meanwhile, the graphically impressive Mass Effect Infiltrator has dropped in price for the very first time (now $4.99). And for those who bought the new iPad recently, now’d be a great time to pick up some “HD” games on the cheap. Roundup of App Store links after the break.
Thinking of picking up some iTunes gift cards for the recent EA Mobile, Gameloft and Sega iOS sales (or maybe just some new App Store Games)? If so, you may want to pick some up via Bestbuy.com, where all iTunes GCs — be it physical cards or digital delivery — are currently 15% off. So $25 cards are now $21.25, $50 for $42.50 and so forth. This promo is especially beneficial for those international iDevice owners who use their US iTunes accounts extensively. A redeem code is sent via email for any “Digital Delivery” purchases made, so you don’t have to worry about a shipping address if you reside outside the US. Not to mention that your code will be delivered straight to your inbox shortly thereafter in either case. Head over to the iTunes gift card section at Bestbuy.com and take advantage of this offer, which will end on Feb 18th.
ZAGG’s Cyber Monday Sale is back and pretty much everything is now 50% off. That means you can pick up popular items like the ZAGGsparq (a 6,000 mAh battery pack to recharge iDevices on-the-go) and the ZAGGbuds (earphones with built-in a noise canceling mic) at half off. The site-wide sale (sadly) doesn’t apply to certain products though, like external keyboards for the iPad (ZAGGkeys, ZAGGmate etc.), iFrogz cases and ZAGG gift cards. Everything else is fair game. This Cyber Monday sale ends tomorrow, Nov 29th @ 2:00 AM MST, and please note that product pages don’t reflect the sale price – the 50% off is applied at check out. And if you live in one of the lower 48 US states, shipping is free on orders $29.98 or more after the 50% discount has been applied.
The unholy union between FreeAppaDay and Last Front: Europe is a bad one, but in a good way. Last Front: Europe is a solid Tower Defence title with a few great augments to the genre including: movable towers and unlimited user-created maps for download. If you are too lazy to read TMA’s Last Front: Europe review, here’s the gist: GRAB!
Anyway, it’s free, so strap on your cannons and blast the baddies into 1939!
Plow Digital, LLC, Last Front: Europe – Free (for a day)
Recently we reported the FreeAppADay.com initiative. And guess what they have in store for us today! Reign of Swords is an excellent strategy game and the developers have been kind enough to give it away absolutely free for one day – a drop from $1.99!

More information after the gap:
One of the major projects this last Christmas has been the AppVentCalendar. An initiative, organized by Blacksmith Games and joined by a number of developers, each of which made their app free for one day. The results were so succesfull, that Blacksmith games, together with: ICS Mobile, creators of Navy Patrol: Coastal Defense; Tapjoy, creators of TapDefense; and the leading iPhone social platform, OpenFeint, have decided to launch FreeAppADay.com – where the same principle is going to run 365 days each year.
I am not Dutch – I want that to be put straight. But, my family have long enjoyed one of the best board games ever: sjoelen, a great shufflepuck game which uses unique mathematics and good ol’ fashioned aim to pave a good time. Sjoelen has been available since February last year, but now the splinterless fun made possible by glass can be had for free! I whole-heartedly recommended going Dutch on this one.
The Quest needs no introduction: it was the first real RPG on the iPhone, has already spawned 2 additions and remains among the App Store’s Best RPGs. Now, a fourth instalment to the series has sneaked onto the scene; and better than any blogging-praise is that for a limited time, it is FREE! The Quest isn’t just another mobile RPG, it is one of the best single player RPGs on any portable system. Maybe it is the best. Chillingo and Redshift have certainly stood by their product with frequent updates and many expansions. Mithril Horde can be added to your The Quest installation and played seamlessly; or it can be played on its own. Get it while its free, then get it since it continues the tradition of the App Store’s best RPG.
Piccies and more after the gap:
Not that they are tooting their own horn or anything, but No Tie Software are proud that their apps: AutoRingtone Pro and 100Sounds have stayed astride the hallowed top 100 and 50 in their categories at the App Store. Here’s a hardy ‘congrats’ from TMA! Well, the selfsame No Tie are interested in making Christmas that much brighter. For a limited time, three of their apps will go free! 100Sounds will keep its usual low price of 99 cents – a number it shows off very well.
