PhotoForge in Review – The go anywhere, do anything photo editor

The iDevice is such an overachiever – there are fathomless possibilities that are yet undiscovered. Fortunately, clever designers have coaxed the platform to do things that, had I known were possible in 2007-2008, would have made my nose bleed excitedly. PhotoForge is a new addition to my personal favourites at the App Store. It joins the ranks of truly amazing software such as AirSharing and my all-time favourite, The Quest and stands head and shoulders above its peers.

What, was that my conclusion? No, read on, but get your wallets ready for a two-dollar injection into developer GhostBird‘s account.

Photo fx in Review – Photo editing at its Simplest Form

photofx1Let’s be frank here; this is another photo modifying/ enhancing application for the iPhone/ iPod Touch platform, and when one downloads this type of app there are a few certain things that one expects. These are things like changing the colours and hues of the photo, the contrast and brightness, and things like that. However, Photo fx packages the functions and enhancements for photos in a very different manner, which I think is more appropriate for mobile use.

Photogene in Review – Photoshop Mini in my Palm!!

photogene2I was a little sceptical when this category of apps debuted on the iPhone/ iPod Touch platform. The reason was because I have access to my computer every day, and when I know I have taken photos with my device, I’ll immediately sync them back with iPhoto. You have the option of taking a new picture with your iPhone camera to have it edited, or simply choose one from your camera roll. Once a photo is selected, users will be able to add elements from categories such as Eyes, Mouths, Wigs, Glasses, Hats and much more.
