The Witcher: Versus in Review – Man VS Woman VS Bug, what could be more fun?

The Witcher is a very well-known (at least here in Russia) series of fantasy books that have only recently begun to enjoy world-wide fame thanks to the top notch Action RPG released on the PC a few years back. The iDevice version, however, is not quite connected to the superb PC release. In fact, it’s not connected to it at all. What is it then you ask? Well, it turns out The Witcher: Versus is a port of a browser-based dueling game.

SAGA Catapult in Review – Time To Get Your Rocks Off

Are you a fan of MMO games? Well I’m not, lol. The idea of a game being designed around one is probably one of the furthest things from my want list. Until now. Developed around their popular MMORTS, SAGA Catapult is a defense style game from Silverlode Interactive. Taking design and character elements from the the pc based SAGA, “Catapult” sports a very well designed interface and responsive controls. Although it may not get me into the MMO genre, it definitely has reminded me to not judge a book by it’s cover.

My Brute in Review – Violence Has Never Been So Entertaining

So what is My Brute? If you’re familiar with the online flash game, My Brute is a mix of Super Smash Bros and a street gang war – it’s all action packed fighting with items and abilities, except you have no control over it. BulkyPix, the developers behind the the thriller game Hysteria Project, have ported the web version of My Brute to the iDevice. But since that doesn’t explain the whole story, the web version can be found here. It’s a simple yet fun flash title based on automated fights between virtual characters called “brutes”. Typing in a name generates a new brute profile, in which the player can then go to the arena and choose their battles.

Role Playing and Massively Multiplayer Online fans have consistently made up a large base of computer and console software sales in the last 10 years. Recently, the iDevice became home to a slew of so called “MMO” games infiltrating the App Store. These applications include iMob, Undead Live, Vampires Live, Dungeon Quest and iQuest. They all have one thing in common;  they are not real MMOs. CozyQuest is the first actual evolving MMORPG that has redefined the MMO genre for the iDevice and one that has arrived not a moment too soon.

iQuest in Review- King For a Day

iquest1I bought iQuest from Better Day Wireless then I first laid my eyes on it in the iTunes App Store. It is a real Fantasy MMO (Massively Multi-player Online) with Role playing elements in it! iQuest is a much more serious MMO in my eyes than the dime a dozen iMafia & iMob. It is a refreshing  and intelligent app and the first MMO of its kind in the app store. It looks pretty grandiose, so let’s see if it lives up to expectations.
