It’s that time of year again: apple cider, pumpkin pie and a chill in the air.  No wait, that’s Thanksgiving… wow, they’re like twin holidays separated by almost a month!  Anyway, I’ve tried to make it a custom to release a horror themed roundup to coincide with the tradition of Halloween.  Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances I didn’t get to spend quite as much time on it this year as I would have liked, and as a result it’s only 7 games long instead of the usual 10.  Plus, I will admit to using a couple of games I’ve written about in the past to make things go a bit quicker as well (I promise none of these were in last year’s Halloween roundup, though).  So enough excuses and babbling – on to the games! Last year I shared with you my thoughts on some games that you should be playing over the spooky Halloween season.  I’ve decided to continue the trend this year, except I changed my philosophy a bit in that I covered only games that I’ve played this time around.  Also, instead of 20 choices I’m giving you 13, which seems both appropriate given the day this article is honoring and necessary given I’ve run out of time!  Anyway, hopefully this list will be useful to you in finding just the right game to occupy your Halloween night, and you can always check out last year’s list since it’s still full of valid choices.

Hysteria Project in Review – Interactive Horror to Get Your Heart Racing

review-game-hysteria-hysteria1I’m an extreme horror fanatic who I grew up watching the Twilight Zone and corny horror movies. Who needs “Saw” when you have “Attack Of The Man-Eating Spiders!” (including sequels 2-800)?! Over time, being exposed to such “gruesome” horrors such as “Night Of The Living Dead”, I eventually became desensitized to all things creepy and spooky. How then did I react to an adventure horror game on the comforts of my iPhone? Well, Hysteria Project has exceeded my expectations and brings a unique experience that is quite enjoyable.
