Gameloft has just announced some excellent deals for the iPad. Brothers In Arms 2: Global Front HD, Iron Man 2 for iPad and Shrek Kart ® HD are all on sale for a measly dollar. B.I.A 2 and Iron Man 2 are both solid action titles for the iPad and Shrek Kart is easily one of the most fun kart racing games on the device. Needless to say, if you’re looking to load up on quality games on your iPad, don’t miss out on this great limited time offer.

And if you don’t have an iPad, Gameloft has also dropped prices (also $0.99) on two of their iPhone hits: Brain Challenge 2: Think Again! and NFL 2010.

Gameloft Celebrates Ten Year Anniversary with Giveaways

Gameloft, one of the premier and most popular developers/publishers at the App Store, is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with a sweet promotion dubbed “Happy Hour”, where a Gameloft game will be given away over a 10 day period. Here’s the scoop:

For two hours every day, from May 10th through May 21st, with the exception of the weekend, one Gameloft iPhone/iPod Touch game will be available for free. There will be unlimited downloads allowed during the two hours. Ten different games will be given away during the promotion. The specific title and hours for the giveaway will be revealed daily on Gameloft’s Twitter feed. The daily reveals will occur at random times so participants are encouraged to follow Gameloft on Twitter to be the first to know.

So there you have it. 10 free Gameloft titles for the next 2 weeks. With the 2 hour window and random giveaway times (which could potentially make it difficult for all to score the daily freebies due to different time zones), be sure to follow them on twitter for the announcements. Better yet, if you really don’t want to miss out, turn on the option to receive Gameloft tweets via SMS right on your phone. Here’s hoping that some of their newer games like Iron Man 2, Blokus and Brothers in Arms 2 HD will be included in the Happy Hour.

UPDATE: Ferrari GT: Evolution is today’s Gameloft Freebie (only good for 2 hours!)

You’ll also have the chance to jump into the Mark IV, Mark VI, Stealth and underwater suits. Gameloft launched 8 HD titles for the iPad

Gameloft have revealed their starting lineup for tomorrow’s release of the iPad. Not surprisingly, they include some of their best selling games, including:

  • Asphalt 5 HD
  • Dungeon Hunter HD
  • Let’s Golf HD
  • Modern Combat: Sandstorm HD
  • N.O.V.A. – Near Orbital Vanguard Alliance HD
  • NFL 2010 HD
  • Real Soccer 2010 HD
  • Uno HD

Judging from the video above, it looks like we’ll be seeing much improved graphics compared to their iPhone/iPod Touch counterparts, as well as the implementation of the multitouch interface into the gameplay. And with the iPad’s relatively large screen size (compared to that of the iPhone), it may take some time for gamers to get used to holding the device like a virtual controller. Full press release after this space.

Brothers in Arms® 2: Global Front – Assaulting the App Store’s front line

Brothers in Arms® is quite a franchise: guns, explosions, graphics and lots ‘n lots of murder. Action gamers have the following to say about Gameloft’s newest game: “Omg”, “I was the first one to buy it”, “Beastly”, and a lot more. Essentially, Gameloft took the roof off their successful series, smashed in loads of graphical detail and polish for a better looking, bigger game than the first Brothers in Arms game.

James Cameron’s Avatar in Review – Yes, it really is THAT good

I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot lately, but I didn’t know what to expect with James Cameron’s Avatar. I’m always nervous when it comes to movie related tie-ins as it is, but Avatar is probably going to be the biggest movie of the decade, regardless of whether it’s a phenomenal success or a cosmic flop. So what does that mean for the game? Well, for starters, I’m not sure anyone told these guys there was a movie related to this material. I don’t know what the movie is like, but after playing this game I actually want to go see the it. Normally, that’s not the case if I play the movie based game first.
