Hybrid: Eternal Whisper in Review – Controls + Gameplay + Story = Awesomeness?

You know, I must have spent ages on my ancient PC (a crusty 286) playing the big arcade hit: Golden Axe. Years later, I remember it as an amazing blend of side-scrolling action arcade and fighting. Now, what would you get if you mixed that relic with some good ol’ RPG elements? A hybrid? No, THE HYBRID! Introducing the latest epic adventure from the makers of the famous Zenonia, Hybrid: Eternal Whisper.

Modern Combat: Sandstorm in Review – I’m Not Crying, I Just Got Sand In My Eyes

Having just recovered from the sheer awe of Gangstar, my sanity is threatened again by yet another awesome cat which Gameloft just pulled from the proverbial bag: Modern Combat: Sandstorm (MC: S). Saying MC: S is a FPS (first person shooter) with nice 3D graphics would be an understatement. MC: S is one of the most realistic App Store games to date; a game with a fantastic story line, voiceovers, amazing sound effects – saying that would just about cover the tip of the iceberg.

1978′s monumental game, Space Invaders, is a game that almost everyone should have played at least once in their life. Though I’ve played the original several times coin-op at arcades and pizzerias, I wasn’t its biggest fan. I found the graphics bland and the music dull. However, for 1978 it was an amazing feat for the budding video game business. Now, in 2009, a new Space Invaders game, Space Invaders Infinity Gene (or SIIG for short) – is out. And it rocks. This game not only draws my attention more than a fly to a lightbulb, but is my favorite shooter game of all time.

Todo in Review – What are the rave reviews all about?

For any who have read my Pocket Informant review, you already know what got me into looking for apps that sync to online services, but for those of you who haven’t read it yet, I’ll give a brief summary of my need for online back up. At first, I depended on the inbuilt notes app and calendar for everything, but my old PC decided to quit syncing my calendar app and contacts to Outlook, and of course my notes, which included my todos simply didn’t sync when I first got my iPhone 3G. To top it all off, backing up my iPhone to iTunes seemed just a colossal waste of my free time.

The Sims 3 – Review and Tips from shigzeo, the Sleaze

EA have type-casted me as a sleaze and I will admit to liking it. But, let me straighten out one thing: prior to playing the Sims 3, I had no idea what a ‘woohoo’ was and why my sim should as a dying wish desire it 8 times in one day. Well, after at least 17 hours of play, I have not accomplished his goal, but I have learned how to be a true and proper sleaze in this beautiful game.
