HyperDevbox Japan smash through the boundaries of many gamer’s wildest dreams with ExZeus. Not only do they bring to the iDevice giant robots and big guns, but ExZeus, a coinop arcade game now fits into the greasy pockets of iPhone and iPod Touch gamers everywhere.
Hyperdevbox sport an impressive catalogue of games for PS2, Wii and xBox 360 as well as with the debut of ExZeus, an upcoming ports section for handheld gaming machines. ExZeus is a great achievement as a first handheld port and I hope will is indicative of the quality of games that are in the production queue. Though excellent, ExZeus is hampered not by its content but by hardware limitations in the iDevice.

Loads of worthwhile apps on sale, including the impressive robot shooter in ExZeus, Dungeon & Hero and a great word game in WordJong. GL Golf Standard, a very solid golf title which we recently reviewed (Deluxe version) can be had for only $0.99. If you’re looking for a good IM app, look no further as the best in the business BeejiveIM is now only $9.99. A cheaper alternative in IM+ is priced at only a buck. Finally, if you’re not aware of IUGO’s huge $10,000 contest, they’ve lowered their prices on all Toy Bot Diaries apps to get even more people in on the fun. ExZeus: Giant Robots and Lasers
30 January, 2009, a beautiful shooter popped onto the App Store. ExZeus is developed by HyperDevBox and reminiscent of the days of Galaga or Space Harrier, but gloriously rendered and spectrally highlighted in 3D. If you like Japanese robots in particular and shooting things as a hobby, get excited because no one does robots better than the Japanese and no one shoots better than a robot. ExZeus is as per the App Description, a port of the famous arcade hit that has more recently made waves in in the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2 crowd.
