For the past few months I’ve been bringing you a list each week of what I feel are some of the most promising games to keep an eye on in the App Store (assuming you don’t already have them). This special edition of “10 To Watch” is a list of games that you should be playing over the upcoming Halloween weekend. Of course, there are enough games on the list that you should probably start playing them now. The big difference between the normal “10 To Watch” lists and this one is that here I’ve played a good portion of the titles in this roundup. Without further ado, here are my selections for Halloween iPhone / iPod Touch games…
TouchMyApps is giving away 4 copies each of Dracula The Path of the Dragon – Part 2 & 3 HD for the iPad. Published by Anuman and developed by TETRAEDGE Games, the click and point adventure trilogy is considered by many as one of the best in the genre for the platform (see our review of Part 1 for the iPhone). For those new to the series, here’s the basic storyline from iTunes:
September 1920, the Vatican appoints Father Arno Moriani, the “Devil’s Advocate”, to investigate a potential candidate for sainthood in Transylvania. But in the shadows of the disturbing ruins that were once Vlad the Impaler’s castle, his investigation takes an unexpected turn…
There is obviously no such thing as vampires… at least according to the official line of the Catholic Church. But how can you be so sure, standing in the swirling mists of Transylvania ? Carry out your investigation amidst tales of bloody deeds and ancestral fears. Doubts start clouding your mind and doubt begets fear…
Perhaps you’ve already played part 1 and have yet to pick up the rest in the trilogy. Well now’s your chance to win Parts 2 and 3 for your iPad! (4 winners, with each receiving both copies) And remember, should you get stuck in certain parts of the game, be sure to visit Tetraedge’s official support forums right here on TMA. Dracula The Path of the Dragon is an adaptation of highly acclaimed PC adventure game for the iOS. It has been released in 3 parts for the iPhone back in late winter/early spring and has earned a well deserved spot in our AppStore’s Best Adventure Games, as well as being highly acclaimed by the press all across the board. It was and still is one of the most atmospheric adventures on the iDevice platform. And in the last couple of weeks it has become even better with a remastered iPad version released for your pleasure by Anuman Interactive. If by any chance you missed the original it is definitely worth picking it up for the big screen.
And should you have missed the game entirely, there’s always an opportunity to pick it up for the iPhone/iPod Touch as well.

I’m very excited to announce that the final part of Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon saga, developed by Tetraedge games and published by Chillingo, has been released on the App Store. The story of Father Arno and his quest to uncover the dark and bloody mysteries of Vladoviste is concluded with some unexpected twists at the end. TMA’s shigzeo reviewed Dracula part I back in late January 2010 and had this to say:
Dracula is more fun, more atmospheric, and more acutely entertaining than either Mysterious Island game is. It is streamlined, involving, and has great writing.
I myself consider it to be one of the most atmospheric and involving adventure games ever to be released on the iDevice, one with an exceptional storyline and great graphics. If you’re a fan of the genre, I highly recommend you grab the games now; at the very least, check out the official description after the gap.

I am very pleased to announce that part 2 of the excellent Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon adventure game has finally been submitted to Apple for review and should be biting it’s way onto the AppStore soon. This coincides quite nicely with the recently opened dedicated section for Tetraedge Games support, opened jointly with the developers to have direct access to their community. And while you’re waiting for the release, be sure to check out our review of Part 1 (Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon – Part 1 in Review – sadistically beautiful) and the game itself if you haven’t already!
UPDATED: It is already available on the AppStore for just $1.99! Go get it!

The official app description and some screenshots to wet your appetite after the gap…
The iPhone still mucks about in a rut of cross-pollinated adventure titles, but thankfully, its playground is expanding beautifully. Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon – Part 1 has me salivating for the next instalment; it is a fun, scary, and well-told adventure with the thick sort of atmosphere which can only be cut with a blood-stained reaping-scythe.
