Steamballs in Review – Matching-3 steampunk style…

The whole match-3 genre is definitely one of the more casual ones, designed for quick pick up and play. This in mind it’s not a big shock that there are quite a bunch of these games on the App Store, enough to make sorting out the good from the bad a pain for the casual customer. Gold Keeper 2 in Review – Are you bad enough to be a demon?

Oh, my head. I shouldn’t have drank that much yesterday. It feels like my horns are going to fall off. And what’s that damn racket?! Arghh, those damn looters are in my dungeon again. Sigh… Time to go spread my claws a little bit. Oohh, yummy peasant hearts. And those ugly big iron-covered knights have stashed away some nice weapons. Ahhh, just what I wanted – now I can finally despatch those thieving villagers and show them who’s really the boss around here!

Strongholds in Review – Build your house of cards and crush the enemy!

I was an avid Magic the Gathering fan and gamer for a couple of years in my university days, and it surprises me why there next to no games that use CCG (Collectable Card Game) mechanics on the iPhone. The genre is perfect for the platform, combining turn-based gameplay, multiplayer, low system requirements and excellent use of in-app purchasing. Well, Digital Worlds has stepped in and laid a claim to the genre!
