Chocolate Shop Frenzy in Review – A Tasty Time Management Game

In Chocolate Shop Frenzy you must help Emma achieve her dream of becoming a chocolate shop owner. Emma’s just quit her marketing job and taken out a loan for the store. You’ve got to successfully run the shop for a year and make a profit in order to pay back the money. You’ll mainly be tapping away at the screen in order to give your customers a menu, make their chocolate, deliver it and then pick up your earnings. However, as well as this time management element there are also some match three stages within the game to break up the action a little.

Crazy Penguin Party in Review – Don’t Leave Home Without It!

One of the reasons I wanted an iPod Touch was because I got to play this adorable little game on my brother-in-law’s iPhone – you shoot penguins out of a catapult and try to hit as many polar bears as you can. I love polar bears in general, and in this game these bears were delightfully big, burly and totally huggable. That game, Crazy Penguin Catapult, was one of the first ones I bought as soon as I had my own iPod Touch.

Crazy Penguin Party will be instantly familiar to anyone who has ever tried Crazy Penguin Catapult. You have the same hardy penguins going head to head with pot-bellied polar bears – only this time, there’s a lot more going on. Feel free to discuss this review of Crazy Penguin Party in our forums.

3D Rollercoaster Rush New York in Review – One Hell of a Ride!

3D Rollercoaster Rush New York, as well as having a terribly long name, is a terribly good game. And I’m a poet… etc, etc. Anyway, it’s one of those games that is difficult to classify in terms of genre, but I’d say it’s a casual arcade type of game. Basically, it’s your job to guide a rollercoaster along a number of tracks suspended high above New York City. Except, as you’d expect, it’s not quite that simple. There are ups, downs, loop-the-loops, tunnels, sections of missing track and much more! You must get your coaster and its passengers from one end of the track to the other safely, but with maximum thrills and excitement.

3D Brick Breaker Revolution 2 – Nothing Revolutionary Here

The brick-breaking genre of game has been around for years… before I was born, in fact. Nevertheless, it remains a decent, if not overly exciting way to pass the time. The gameplay can’t be beaten for simplicity, but there are so many genres of casual game these days that the old classics have got to be something special to keep up. Unfortunately, 3D Break Breaker Revolution 2 isn’t. It’s just a standard brick-breaking game with no revolutionary features. Feel free to discuss this review of 3D Brick Breaker Revolution 2 in our forums.

Diamond Islands In Review – An ancient puzzler with style.

diamondislandsmainThe goal in Diamond Islands is to roll a rectangle into a square hole by rotating it. That’s it. What makes this particular app different than others of its type is its charming story. A Native American peasant is in love with the Chieftain’s daughter. Daddy finds out and bars them from seeing each other ever again. The gods object and make stars fall from the sky, putting them in danger. The young peasant embarks on a journey to fix the stars (and hopefully win daddy’s approval).
