Price Drop: Heavy Gunner 3D FREE for limited time!

Heavy Gunner 3D, one of the more addictive and action packed games to have been released for the iPhone/iPod Touch is now FREE for a day. This adrenaline charged dual-stick shooter remains my favorite Com2uS game and is perfect for short spurts of mindless blasting. shigzeo reviewed Heavy Gunner and had this to say:

It is a hell of a lot of fun, and honestly, an overwhelming deal…if you like action, explosions, repetition, and great graphics, Heavy Gunner 3D transports you into Matrix-like mayhem which is a blast at its price! [$2.99]

Unless SQUARE ENIX’s Chaos Rings drops to free right now, you won’t find a better freebie deal on the App Store today. If you haven’t already purchased the game, don’t miss out on this sweet offer!

Caligo Chaser in Review – punching for perfection

I'll have to admit to losing this one...

When I was 13, nothing ate my quarters faster than Samurai Spirits. Thankfully, sweet action can be had for the 3$ down at the App Store. I reckon that if Caligo Chaser, a new RPG-esque beat ‘em up, was at the arcades now, I’d be drowning in bled change. Com2uS’ latest is fun – hella fun; its got button-mashing, character-building, and even quests to augment is great combo-chasing battle engine which should thrill every violence-craving gamer.

Just so you don’t miss out, read this review. It is better than the ones in our colleagues’ websites for the very reason that TMA feels … Com2uS’s song choice – for us, it’s like running the Swedish mile on a full English Breakfast. If you don’t believe me, check out our damn good Caligo Chaser preview. Feel free to discuss this review of Caligo Chaser in our forums.

Caligo Chaser – a beat ‘em up for the JRPG generation

Caligo Chaser, a game set in the sexy future – or is it the past? — is a stunning hybrid beat ‘em up full of anime babes, fast action, and quick quests. Fans of button mashers and JRPG’s should enjoy this shy-of-300-pennies arcader. Truth be known, I’ve been getting blisters on my thumbs and it’s high time just to let you know of this bad boy. It comes from Com2uS, so expect a goodly dose of polish and graphical pizzazz seen in some of their other hits such as Inotia 2 and Heavy Gunner 3D.

As for our previous coverage of Caligo Chaser, ChiffaN recently did a hands-on preview (with gameplay footage) and found it to be “an excellent game and a real contender to take the beat-em-up RPG crown away from Hybrid: Eternal Whisper“.

Preview with hands-on video: Caligo Chaser – Chasing after whispers of glory

Some time ago I was blessed with an invitation to a closed beta-test of a new RPG from Com2US – creators of  arguably the best Action/RPG on the iDevice at the moment – Inotia 2: A Wanderer of Luone (TMA Review – Kiss It). They have undertaken an ambitious task of claiming the crown of side scrolling Beat-em-up RPGs currently held by HYBRID: Eternal Whisper (TMA Review – Kiss it). And today I’m going to give you a preview of what will be in store once Caligo Chaser is released – with video nonetheless!

Well, Caligo Chaser is out now! Check it out at the App Store:

Homerun Battle 3D goes Goid, er… Droid

Google’s OS totin’ phones have another reason to rejoice in early 2010: the ever-popular Homerun Battle 3D will make its way to the Android platform. Com2uS have published many games for a variety of mobile platforms, but Homerun will be their first Android release. It is also a great title to start from; it already has more than 400 000 registered users on the iPhone and with Com2uS’ pledge to support cross-platform play, the Android release should be great. More titles are promised to follow from the mobile software giant, and hopefully, a host of other cross-platform games.

Interview with Korea’s gaming mogul: Com2uS

Interview-Com2uS-banner

You needn’t have lived under a rock for the last year to be ignorant of Inotia’s creator, Com2uS – you just need to have been removed to Antarctica about 10 years ago. Of course, Com2uS have more under their bonnets than just the excellent RPG series. They have quite a few celebrated App Store hits: Baseball Slugger 3D, Sniper VS Sniper, Baseball Superstars – to name but a few. Well, just before Inotia: A Wanderer of Luone’s debut, I visited the Com2uS headquarters in Seoul, South Korea’s Silicon Valley and met with two fine gentlemen: Joony Koo and Andrew Park, who are are bigger gamers in one day than I am in a month of Sundays.

Inotia: A Wanderer of Luone in Review – The second coming of the Action/RPG!

review-inotia-luone-main

Since its grand opening, the AppStore has seen quite a number of Action/jRPG titles. Unfortunately, only a few are worth mentioning. Apart from Zenonia and more recently, Hybrid, only one other highly acclaimed title roamed App Store: the successful Chronicles of Inotia. So it’s no wonder Com2uS conjured up a sequel just in time for Christmas.

The Chronicles of Inotia: A Wanderer of Luone Released + Promo Code Giveaway!

Update: Our review of Inotia: A Wanderer of Luone can be found here

Over the weekend, The Chronicles of Inotia: A Wanderer of Luone bust into the App Store to confirm its spot among the best RPGs in the App Store. TouchMyApps’ review is forthcoming and we have one of our best men on the job, but suffice it to say that among the oft’ short-lived, simple anime RPGs, Luone sheds some serious skin. One of its best features is incredibly long play time which busts through dozens of hours of story play and many more on side quests. But when you’ve sussed the entire thing, Online Match-up mode is sure to pique your interest. Thank you Com2uS for continuing to innovate!

Com2uS Aiming for October with Sniper VS Sniper

pr-com2us-svs-04

Korean gaming house, Com2uS are within striking distance of an October release of their shooter title, Sniper VS Sniper (SVS). While not as indelibly political as Spy VS Spy, the new shooter’s violence should satisfy trigger-happy fans and offer a few great twists to the genre. SVS promises plenty of action, but more than that, a melange of game play which spans the gamut of genres from shooter to MMO. One of Sniper VS Sniper’s most anticipated features is online play where players will take sides in alliance-style play. The game has been released, grab it below and feel free to read our review of Sniper Vs Sniper.
