As a big fan of adventure games it warms my heart to see a tiny trickle of new new titles turn into a steady stream, both from indie developers and more well-established companies. Coladia, developers of the superb Secret of the Lost Cavern, one of the best adventure games on the platform and responsible for Destination: Treasure Island HD, along with the soon to be released iPhone version of the adventure of Jim Hawkins after the famous novel, have just released Secrets of Da Vinci HD for the iPad — a title that presents a unique opportunity for gamers to dive into the world of the famous artist, philosopher and inventor, Da Vinci. You play the part of a young apprentice to one of Da Vinci’s students, sneaking into his mansion to study the inventions that still reside there. And all that is available at the low intro price of just $1.99! Full info and screens after the gap.

TouchMyApps is giving away 1 of 3 copies of the recently released first person adventure game Destination: Treasure Island for the iPad ($9.99). Developed by Coladia (see their first App Store release in Secrets of the Lost Cave), Destination is a faithful port of the excellent game on PC from a few years back. For those of you not familiar, here’s the basic premise:
Four years have passed since the end of the adventure recounted in Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel. Jim Hawkins has become an upstanding adventurous young man, attentive to those around him. Imagine his surprise when, one morning, he sees a parrot enter his bedroom window : none other than Captain Flint, Long John’s own companion. The bird brings him a message from his master. In the message the old pirate announces that he has buried a marvelous treasure on the secret isle where he retired : Emerald Island. Jim is going to have to hurry though. Pirates, old enemies of Long John, are on his trail.
If you’re a fan of adventuring gaming on the iPad, this is one giveaway not to be missed! Check out the full contest details on to win 1 of 3 codes after the cut.
Coladia, Destination: Treasure Island, 599 MB – $9.99
It’s Coladia’s newsweek on TMA! Shortly after the release of Destination: Treasure Island for the iPad, the devs rolled out a massive update for their first entry to the adventure scene on the App Store – Secret of the Lost Cavern. This great adventure game, redesigned for the iPhone, was originally released in 4 episodes, and later re-released as a single title (with an HD version to boot). Since then the individual episodes have been taken off the shelves, which annoyed some players who weren’t able to pick up the whole collection. Well, guess what…it’s your lucky day folks!
Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novel, Treasure Island, is arguably one of the most famous adventure books ever. It has served as food for many adaptations into various media, up to a frivolous animation picture by Disney. The various game adaptations also number in dozens, with a few already finding their way to the App Store. I’m talking, of course, about the port of the excellent PC Adventure – Destination: Treasure Island, remastered and just released for the iPad by developer Coladia. If you’re the lucky owner of the dream tablet and fancy yourself an adventure gamer, there’s no excuse for you not to pick up this excellent game. And if you’re still on the fence about the iPad, Coladia plans to release the iPhone version in the near future.

Quite a few high-profile titles have been brought to the iPhone in the last several months. And one such release came almost out of the blue from a company, previously only a player on Mac OS market. I’m talking, of course, about Secret of the Lost Cavern from Coladia – an adaptation of the excellent ECHO: Secrets of the Lost Cavern PC adventure by Kheops Studio. It got a Grab-it rating from me and earned a well deserved spot in our The App Store’s Best Adventure Games. And joining me today is Frédéric Aloé – the founder and CEO of Coladia to talk about the iPhone, iPad and their plans for bringing new and exciting games to the iDevice platform.

It seems the iDevice has successfully proved as being a more than viable platform for adventure games. Though there were virtually none at the App Store not more than half a year ago, more and more really solid titles are beginning to make their way to the “Jesus” phone! Following the footsteps of Tetraedge Studios, Coladia, a relatively new studio, have undertaken the porting of quite recent PC adventure games to the iPhone. And today we’ll be reviewing their first project, the episodic adventure Secret of the Lost Cavern.
