Chillingo’s Toki Tori (developed by Two Tribes) has already garnered plenty of praise and recognition on the iDevice for its impeccable gameplay and sweet visuals. Not only is it loads of fun, but it packs a healthy challenge for all gamers with its well designed puzzles. The good news? Chillingo has now released a free version of the platformer. The even better news? Toki Tori Lite includes brand new levels to help bring new gamers up to speed with the hit title. As a famous journalist from Kazakstan once said, “Naaaaice!”. Yes, Naice indeed.
From Young’s review of Toki:
There has been much hype around the release of this game. I can assure you that Toki Tori meets those expectations and more. It is a great game, well worth its price. It’s the Easter Egg Hunt that everyone was looking for, even if they didn’t know it.
Now that the lite version is out, with new levels to boot, there’s no reason NOT to download the game for a test drive. Check out some gameplay vids of the beloved Toki as well after the jump.

Knights Onrush is a deceptive game. Its deceptively simple – defend your castle from waves of enemies trying to storm your gate. So in some ways, it’s your typical tower defense game. But at the same time, you are far more involved in the immediate defense of your castle in Knights Onrush than in similar games. It’s not just relegated to your placing defenses and letting them do their work – you have to actively deploy those defenses yourself. And that’s only one of the differences this game presents.
Another release, another potential hit on their hands. Chillingo, one of the most successful publishers at the App Store thus far, has just released Knights Onrush, a great looking ‘defend yer castle’ type game for the iDevice. Developed by MoreGames, who also brought you such hits as iDracula and Orions: Legend of Wizards, Knights Onrush looks to take on all current Castle Defense (CD) titles with its fun gameplay and vibrant visuals. Stickwars, the reigning CD champ at the iTunes box office with a great run at the Top 10, will certainly get a run for its money by the visually superior Knights. Jim will be pumping out our review of the game shortly, so stay tuned. In the meanwhile, check out some gameplay vids and features after the break.

“The desire to perform a work which will endure, which will survive him, is the origin of his [man's] superiority over all other living creatures here below. It is this which has established his dominion, and this it is which justifies it, over all the world” (Jules Verne, Mysterious Island, Part III, Chapter 15).
Modern historians, digital powerhouse and champions of English Literature, Chillingo have added further clarity to Verne’s prophecy as their next epic release, Return to Mysterious Island, based on Verne’s immortal Mysterious Island debuts on our platform of choice. Verne’s works, now digital games, books, movies and a host of other media are the author’s new face for a new generation.

One genre of games that seems to have seamlessly found its place on the iDevice platform is the puzzler. The blend of portability, touch interface, screen size, and processing power on both the iPhone and iTouch gives developers an amazing canvas in which to showcase their creative programming. Take the case of Toki Tori, a recent offering from publisher Chillingo; this game is a great statement to the level of polish and ingenuity that the App Store can offer.
Chillingo, one of the most notable and well liked publishers at the App Store, has hit TMA with some details and screenshots for the soon-to-be released 1.2.1 update of Zen Bound. Developed by Secret Exit, Zen Bound is a truly unique gaming experience and one that must be played to appreciate the beauty (and simplicity) of the game. Fans of this critically acclaimed title will be happy to know that the update includes a whole new tree called ‘The Tree of Nostalgia. This will be subdivided into four thematic groups: Childhood, Old Days (1920s or so), 50s Sci-Fi and Retro Gaming.
If you’ve yet to try Zen Bound, there is a lite version available for all to see what they’ve been missing. Also, be sure to check out our review of this one of a kind game. Screenies and more update info after the break.
Glide Factor is a new accelerometer based game developed by Sprimp and published by Chillingo. Chillingo thus far has been on a role with fantastic games such as The Quest, iDracula, and Vector Tanks. Though it hasn’t attracted much attention yet, Glide Factor is sure to be a new gem at the App Store.
Once in awhile a game comes along that is unexpectedly impressive in gameplay, graphics, controls and most importantly, fun factor. Chillingo’s egg-cellent upcoming platform Toki Tori is such a game. Toki Tori’s journey began as a Game Boy Color game back in 2001 that eventually made its way onto the Nintendo Wii via Wii-ware. Now the egg-citingly adorable Toki is set to debut on the iDevice!
Chillingo, publishers of many acclaimed iPhone apps, are dripping fairy dust all over the web today with screenshots of the upcoming title, Vampire Origins. As tight-lipped as the Count himself, Chillingo’s director Chris Byatte informed us that this title is to be: ‘an advanced “point-and-click” adventure’! Because TouchMyApps’ power of deduction is impressive, we have sussed out that ‘Origins’ will be the first in a dark trilogy of games from Chillingo.
