“Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can’t remember anything: Who are they? What is their mission? With Lt. Payton staying behind to guide him via radio transmitter, Cpl. Bower ventures deep into the ship and begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking, deadly secrets are revealed…and the astronauts find their own survival is more important than they could ever have imagined.” [courtesy of imdb]
Board games are popping up more and more on the iPlatform lately because turn-based game play works well on the iPhone, allowing you to easily engage in battles with friends at the drop of a hat. Today I got my hands on a “naval strategy” game that although looks like an old favorite is definitely a new take on a classic game.
For adrenaline fans, today is a loaded day. Not only have Assyria Game Studio announced Future Racer, but Artificial Life unveiled their partnership with Red Bull in creation of an official F1 game for the iDevice which comes with a 2-year exclusive-partnership. Look for this game in the latter part of 2009 and for further details below:
For fans of the real football aka ‘soccer’, there is nothing more exciting than watching the Netherlands getting eaten by Sweden in the Euro Cup (??) or Celtic get their bums handed to them again – nothing. But then, that ain’t real football. That is spectator seating, bench barking, fat fanning, etc.. Real football happens on the streets, in the alleys and on pitches around the world – much like a new game (hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge – say no more).
iSoccer Backstreet, a new game by Artificial Life, the geniuses behind iDroidsMania, comes at a great introductory price of 199 pennies, but its developers in benevolent wisdom, are giving away 20 promo codes. Check it out.
Artificial Life, iSoccer Backstreet, 1.99$, 53.0 MB
iDroidsMania, by Artificial Life (go figure), is a breath of a fresh air among side-scrollings. While the story may not be completely original, gameplay mechanics and weapons definitely make iDroidsMania a distinct and great play for your iDevice.
