Parrot set to bring Augmented Reality game to AR.Drone [Video]

Parrot’s mighty cool AR.Drone, a quadricopter that can only be controlled via an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, will soon be getting its very first Augmented Reality game – AR. Pursuit:

The new game, AR.Pursuit, is a two-player game where AR.Drones can shoot at each other in a virtual world on their iPhone screen. When they are hit by opponent fire, the AR.Drone will physically react to the hit. AR.Pursuit will be available in the App Store at the end of November.

The upcoming game actually won’t be the first app released for the AR.Drone. That honor goes to Free Flight, which is the piloting application for the copter. If you’ve got money to burn and think flying a quadricopter with your iPhone will impress the ladies, Amazon is selling it for a mere $299. Check out the video demo of AR.Pursuit in action after the gap.
