Write for Dropbox, a great writing app for the iPhone, is now free for a limited time
Write for Dropbox, an intuitive writing app with a slick interface, is now free for the iPhone after the release of its iPad version. Using Dropbox to sync all your work, the app opens to a blank note so you can quickly jot down your ideas or notes quickly. You’ll also find an extra row of convenient keys above the keyboard that provides shortcuts to popular Markdown syntax. And aside from the host of sharing options available, one of my favorite little features is the cursor trackpad that lets you easily move the cursor around the screen and select desired text.
GAMEVIL giving away retro iOS games for Free
GAMEVIL, best known for their RPGs and having just released the anticipated Diablo-like dungeon crawler Dark Avenger, is now offering a handful of their “Retro” iOS games for $0. From the fun and casual titles like Air Penguin and KAMI RETRO, to the popular JRPG series ZENONIA (parts 1 through 3), a good selection GAMEVIL games can now be downloaded completely free – for a limited time. Check out the complete freebie links after the break.
CARROT updated to V3.0, now free for a day
CARROT, the quirky todo list “with a personality”, has received its next major update (V3.0) and adds three most-requested features from its users: the ability to set reminders/due dates, repeating tasks and Siri Integration (have Siri add tasks into CARROT for you). But since this is not your ordinary todo app, these first have to be unlocked by actually completing tasks on your list (mark tasks as completed, score points and level up). Think of it as an incentive to get productive. Just don’t expect it be as complex as Things (TMA Review) or OmniFocus; it was designed to be fast, simple and most of all, fun to use. CARROT is now free for a day as well, so grab it for your iPhone, unlock all the goodies and get busy.
PDF Forms for iPad now free for a limited time
Darsoft specializes in productivity/business apps for iOS (PDF PROvider, Print Utility) and chief among them is PDF Forms, which has dropped in price to Free for the very first time. Previously priced at $8.99, PDF Forms is stacked with features like fillable forms, annotations, multiple signature support, stamps, Dropbox/Google Drive and documents management (split/duplicate/re-order/zip forms). While its interface may not be as attractive as apps like PDF Expert or even PDF Cabinet, PDF Forms is a more than capable PDF reader and annotator that doubles as a form filler and more. For the price of free, this is certainly worth checking out on your iPad.

FAA’s Free App of the Day: King Oddball
We’re working together with the team at Free App Alliance to highlight a great free app for you to check out.
King Oddball (TMA Review), brought to you by 10tons, is a rather strange yet addictive physics puzzler. In it, you take on the role of a miffed king and attempt to flatten targets with huge boulders that you launch with your tongue.
Your aim, then, is to crush as many targets as you possibly can with each and every boulder that you let loose in order to wipe out the human civilisation. You do this across 120 levels, which are packed with collapsing structures and plenty of opportunities to unlock Game Center-powered achievements. King Oddball is now free (was $2.99) and is a universal app for the iPhone and iPad.
