Apple has announced their financial results for Q2 of 2012 and the numbers are staggering once again. During this fiscal quarter, Apple posted revenue of $39.2 billion, and a net profit of $11.6 billion. The hardware sold in quarter are as follows:
- 35.1 million iPhones (88% increase compared to previous year)
- 11.8 million iPads (151% increase)
- 4 million Macs (7% increase)
- 7.7 million iPods (15% decrease)
Not surprisingly, the two products that are driving record breaking sales for Apple continue to be the iPhone and the iPad. As for the third fiscal quarter, Apple’s CFO Peter Oppenheimer expects revenue to drop slightly, with a forecast of about $34 billion.
