It’s Friday today and what better way to start off your weekend than with another great App Store Freebie. Thanks to FreeAppADay, Underworlds [TMA Review], arguably one of the best Hack ‘n Slash RPGs and closest games you can get to Diable on the iDevice (the other being Dungeon Hunter), is now a free for a day. If you have yet to check out Underworlds and are a fan of this time killing genre, be sure to grab it while the deal is still on!

Price Drop: Astro Ranch FREE for a day!

Today is certainly shaping up to a busy day in the “Free for a day” department. First we saw Last Front: Europe and Age of Tribes go FREE earlier this morning. Now, Tag Games’ well received Astro Ranch has also joined the party and can be had gratis. Here’s what shigzeo said in his review of the game:

Astro Ranch is nearly a full-on throwback to those (old-school console gaming) days – it looks, sounds, and mostly, plays great and is as addictive as it is absurd. It is a quasi-RPG simulation about farming and friendship and is as fun as a barrel of montkeys (play it and you’ll see why this ain’t a splelling mistake)…RPG, rancher, macro-manager, Astro Ranch does it all.

Needless to say, those who’re into farming and management games should definitely hit Astro Ranch ASAP. And while we’re at it, be sure to check out our earlier Freebies round up if you missed it – lots of quality games are still showing up as Free on the App Store.

App Store Freebies Roundup

Back by popular demand, we’ve once again rounded up all the recent games & apps that have dropped in price for your iDevice. Leading the way is the highly addictive and fun Bird Strike, an adorable game that has taken elements from titles like Doodle Jump, Up There and Flight of the Hamsters. Using tilt controls, your job is to guide Gerald the Bird as high up as he can go, all the while collecting booster rockets and seeds and avoiding various obstacles. Anyone who appreciates a quick (and fun) pick-up-and-play game will definitely enjoy what Bird Strike has to offer.  Also free is Zach Gage’s unique Unify puzzler, a multi-touch block dropping game that should please fans of Tetris and Drop7 (my personal favorite).

The entire Freebies roundup can be found after the gap, but do hurry though as some of the price drops are only valid for a very limited time. Enjoy!
