savvy apps, the developers behind one of my favorite calendar apps (Agenda), has updated their handy contacts manager – Buzz Contacts – to version 2.0. Infinitely more versatile and useful than the stock phone.app, Buzz lets users quickly access their favorite contacts and perform specific actions, such making a call or Facetime and sending messages or emails (use default messages or create new ones). The update includes theme support, swiping into/out of dialer – a big plus, the all new Frequent and Outgoing groups, the ability to schedule an appointment with a particular person in either Agenda Calendar or Due, and much more.
App Savvy’s Agenda Calendar has been on the App Store for nearly a year now and thanks to various updates, the app has continued to receive improvements and features. It’s already one of the easiest calendar apps to navigate around (simply swipe left/right to move between year/month/week/day views), and now, with the 3.0 update, the developers have made it significantly faster to create events.
Agenda Calendar, one of my favorite apps for quickly browsing calendar entries on the iPhone, now adds themes to its minimalist design (12 in total, some of which are inspired by several Apple related websites) and portrait view on the iPad with to its 2.3 update. These two additions address concerns that the black and white interface can get drab for some, and how on the iPad, users had no choice but to use the app in landscape view.
While Agenda Calendar falls behind in adding/editing events (it simply uses the iOS interface), the fact that you can easily swipe left/right to move between year, month, week, day, or event views is quite fantastic. And at its current $0.99 price, this universal app is worth investing in to replace the stock calendar app.

Agenda Calendar, a popular and top 20 best selling productivity app on the App Store (currently sitting at #13), has just received its biggest and most anticipated update thus far. With version 2.0, Agenda not only receives several new features and tweaks, but more importantly, it’ll now work on your iPad natively as well. Aside from its minimalistic design, the most desirable aspect about Agenda Calendar is its lightning quick navigation, which is primarily achieved via up/down and left/right swipes. There’s no doubt that once you get used to how quick and easy it is to use, you’ll never go back to the iOS’ stock calendar app. More info and demo video after the gap.
