Dracula is definitely one of the iconic horror flick villains, popularized by the famous book by Bram Stoker. Though vampires in general have been part of folklore for hundreds and even thousands of years, he was the one who introduced the signature struggle between a sole hero and the vampire over a girl. In the three-part adventure - Dracula: Resurrection - Microids revisits this concept and this time you’ll have the chance to take down the evil Dracula yourself.
Nostradamus The Last Prophecy – Part 1 in Review – Tomorrow, I shall no longer be here. I shall be… on iOS!
Tetraedge Games are currently one of the more prominent players on the App Store’s adventure gaming scene. Porting various PC adventure titles, they are responsible for such great games as Jules Verne’s Return To Mysterious Island, Jules Verne’s Secrets Of The Mysterious Island, Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon and the most recent Egypt The Prophecy. This time they have graced us with an adventure centered around the famous prophet, Nostradamus, with the release of their latest title – Nostradamus The Last Prophecy – Part 1.
Almost half-a-year ago I posted an exclusive preview of an adventure game by Tetraedge, well known for such titles on the AppStore as Jules Verne’s Return To Mysterious Island, Jules Verne’s Secrets Of The Mysterious Island and of course, their recent hit Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon. I was very impressed by the ambiance of the game, known then as The Egyptian Prophecy, as well as the excellent graphics, puzzles and story. Unfortunately due to some changes in the coporate world the game had been frozen in the almost ready state for a few months. But thankfully, now all issue have been resolved and with a minor change of name, Egypt The Prophecy – Part 1 has found it’s way onto the AppStore, with the other 2 parts to be available soon. Be sure to check out my preview of the game or just pick it up to enjoy for yourself. Oh yeah, and there’s a video after the gap as well.

Dracula: The Path Of The Dragon – Part 1 – FREE (May 21 – 27)
Chillingo’s sequel to the popular Return to Mysterious Island adventure game made a surprise debut at the App Store, surprising both Chillingo and reviewers alike. But, Apple’s wonky schedule aside, gamers are enjoying leading Mina back to the island on another life-or-death quest. One thing noted in the Return to Mysterious Island review is that the game is both immense and difficult, leading to the official Tetraedge walkthrough. Both aspects lend themselves to excellent adventure gaming, but users need a break. Well, TMA have been given one to pass on to you. The below link will direct you to the spoils of a walkthrough of Secrets of Mysterious Island.
Be sure to also check out TMA’s review of Jules Verne’s Secrets of the Mysterious Island.
If you are like me and cannot tell your head from your tail especially when it comes to adventure games, you need a bit of help. Tetraedge, developer of RTMI have put together a wonderful walkthrough for us iPhone players with excellent pictures and a very helpful map. It is a long PDF, so put away your Baud 28.8kbps modems and strap on your 56.6kbps ultraspeed, because this may be a bumpy ride.

There is nothing worse than realising that you forgot something. When my eyes started to go bad around age 12, I often forgot my glasses which I hadn’t yet registered as a need. It wasn’t long till I felt naked without them. I have felt the same about my Casio Calculator watches and later, even about my mobile phone. But Mina, Return to Mysterious Island‘s stalwart heroine faces much bigger challenges as she is shipwrecked with barely her skin on a less than friendly island in the Pacific Ocean.
Starving, alone and about to face many, many challenges, Mina is in a precarious state that balances on the edge of survival and a creeping sense of horror as she discovers more about the island made famous by Jules Verne.
If you are stuck, check out Tetraedge’s excellent walkthrough.
