Macphun is giving away copies of their highly capable photo editing software on the Mac - FX Photo Studio Pro ($39.99) – this weekend and all it involves are a few simple steps, though owning the excellent FX Photo Studio (TMA Review) for the iPhone is a requirement (now on sale for $0.99). Here’s how you can snag yours on the Mac:

- LIKE FX Photo Studio on Facebook
- Snap a picture of their Facebook profile
- Put any filter from FX Photo Studio on the pic
- And email picture at [email protected]
The giveaway is good until April 1st and there’s a limit to the number of Mac apps to be sent out, so don’t wait until the last minute if you’re hoping to make good on this freebie offer.

Naturespace updated with new tracks and features
A little over a year ago I started using Naturespace: Relax Meditate Escape Sleep (TMA Review) – one of the best ambient nature sounds apps out there. Unique in the way it makes a fully engrossing surround sound experience even through the stock Apple earbuds, it has saved my nerve endings from countless deaths. And as we all know – nerves don’t regenerate. Well, I’m glad to say that shortly before Christmas (yes, I Know I’m a bit late on this but still) the developers informed me that they’d just rolled out a massive update, not only making an additional 15 tracks available for purchase but a few nifty features in the catalogue as well.
Angry Birds turns Two, iOS apps update to version 2.0
Another year older and still as popular as ever, Angry Birds officially turns 2 today. The franchise continues its rapid growth worldwide, with over 500 million downloads to date and is even featured in the recently released The Greatest Video Game Music album. So to celebrate this occasion, Rovio has updated the Angry Birds games on the iPhone and iPad to 2.0, giving us 15 brand new birthday cake levels, and all 300 levels are now unlocked.
Black Friday Online Sales Roundup
Apple’s One-day shopping event is finally here. Discounts are dead on from the leak revealed several days ago, with the MacBook and iMac lines being discounted by $101. iPad 2s now start at $458 (16GB wifi model), while the 64GB model has dropped by $61. Accessories are also on sale – the Apple Wireless keyboard, Trackpad and Magic mouse are discounted by $11 each. ZAGG set to giveaway 24 iPad 2s on Black Friday – One every hour!
ZAGG, the company behind the Flex Keyboard and ZAGGmate, is holding another massive iPad Giveaway this Black Friday. In 2010, ZAGG did an iPad-a-week giveaway; earlier this February, it was an iPad-a-day hand out. Naturally, this Friday, we should be expecting an iPad 2 every hour, right? Starting midnight (MST) on November 25th, 2011, an iPad 2 WiFi 16 GB model can be won every hour, all by visiting the contest page and submitting your entry (Name and email). The key is that each entry only counts for that hour, so you’ll have to re-submit 24 separate times (once each hour) if you really want that iPad badly enough. You’ll also receive up to 3 additional entries per hour if you share that contest page via Twitter and Facebook. Good luck!
