Default Reiner Knizia's Samurai is an awesome strategy game

Review: Reiner Knizia's Samurai - strategy gaming perfection

Sorry no photos yet, but I'll be reviewing it in a few days. Reinar Knizia's Samurai is very much like Diplomacy meets Settlers of Catan: you control strategic points on a map in order to gain power (Settlers of Catan) and your different pieces 'attack' those spaces by controlling in numbers, not by luck (Diplomacy).

The tutorial is well spaced and easy to follow, but the game play is actually quite simple. Deciding how to attack and fend off the enemy, however, is difficult. I've not sussed the strategy yet, but I'm enjoying trying!

I'll update this thread as time goes on, but dear me, for the strategy fan, this game has polish, depth, and simplicity (no, not a strange juxtaposition).

Go ahead and read the entire review. Knizia sure put up a stalwart title that deserves his name. This is my new favourite iDevice Strategy game. Oh yeah, big KISS!

Do it and. I'll admit to falling in love in the first 10 minutes, but then I am a big strategy board gamer and this game is a very tasteful rendition of the master's original game.
