Interesting idea of using the background image to highlight icons. Now if Apple would allow for different backgrounds based on the page you're on ....

Yes. The idea is great. But since the background doesn't change with the pages it's actually only usefull when you only have one page, or similar icon layout on all pages.

But like I said. Kudos for the idea. I was complaining that I want color labeled folders and didn't think of using the background for that purpose.

I wish Apple would allow separate backgrounds for different screens. Though the labels are anchored to a specific position, you can always rearrange the icons and drag them into the labels of distinctive colors.
