For myself, I got myself a cheap external battery. A little inconvenience when it is plugged in, but I am sure I will last one full day now

Thanks for the tips! Will try some of these out. Never really had a huge problem with battery life, but some days it can be bad.

I've nearly given up on finding ways to improve battery life since I play games a lot on my iPod Touch. I try to turn off the device as often as I can when not in use.

@loneapple24 - what do you mean by turning off your iPod Touch? are you referring to the power switch? or do you mean pressing the power switch and the home button at the same time?

I rely on Accura for giving me stats on how much time I have left to play games and I also purchased a portable battery pack to extend battery life (1-2 hours extra). i can't turn off the wifi since i use it a lot, but i only turn on bluetooth when necessary.

I've reduced the brightness to about 50% and turned off the automatic settings for it.

When I'm playing games, I minimize the sound effects and music.

I also use my earphones when I'm playing games since the speaker drains the battery a lot faster.

I might think about it, but my lonely heart is maybe settling on... getting a nano so that I don't have to carry such a large load.

What kind of batter life are people typically getting? I can go about 2 days without recharging if I DON'T play games, if I do, I pretty much have to recharge every day. I also got an external battery for it which helps when on an airplane and I want to watch a movie or play a bunch of games the whole time.

I recharge every night in my docking station on my nightstand. Normally the battery is at about 30% when I go to sleep.
