I just odered my iPad.
I had to go through apples financing service since I haven't have the 600€ on the loose, but if they don't have a problem with the high alimony I have to pay there should be no problem and I should get my shiny new toy at the 28th.
God, I hate Apple that they made me a total fanboy who couldn't even wait a few months, let alone for the second gen.

Just had a go with the iPad - a friend bought it. First reaction - it's sweet as hell though heavier than I thought it would be.

Today ma iPad arrived. My first impression was that this is a incredible beautiful screen. It's really incredible. I pumped some of my more vibrant photographs on the iPad and they never looked better. The screen is stunning.
I got a few apps and a book but I know that I soon enough will need the shelf space that come with OS4's Folders.
Right now I have the ABC-Player, Marvel App, Scrabble, Air Video, Elements and Small World.
Elements is more of a novelty buy. I shouldn't have bought this since it doesn't really has any use for me other than to show the App to others. I'll get some free apps now.

I should update this: I bought an iPad and love it. It does more than my laptop ever did for me becasue: I can take it out shooting, offload photos and still have energy left over to do work! It is light, responsive, and its screen is light years better than that of my MacBook Pro. The downsides are pretty shallow now, but I do wish Apple made a direct USB link for photo uploads especially.

The only problem with built in cards is that they ususally ignore other media types. Like, the new MBP's went from a universal Express Cards slot that can be adapted for every single media type out there including CF, SD, XD, Optical, USB, and more, but the new SD-only option really leaves only the Firewire 800 port good transfer of faster, more professional cards. I'd prefer Apple to put a USB port there plus their sync and leave out the SD, which only maddens half of the population.
