Default Review: Bedlam - An unique RPG

    Bedlam - RPG
    Price: $5.99
    Lite: Free
    App store link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bedlam/id332137487?mt=8

Bedlam came on the app store in 2009 December and it immediately drew my attention.
Having a price tag of $5.99 scare a lot of people away; it is however, after playing it for 4 months, all I can say is the money were well spent. This is why I would like to introduce this game to all of you.

To put it in the simpliest term, Bedlam is based on a Multi-User-Dungeson (MUD) with enhanced graphic interface. It is the most unique game you can find in the app store. Unlike many other rpg games, Bedlam is not a turn base or time base game. It is REAL time with full interaction with any players online. It is a true MMORPG!

Here are some of the highlights:

Character Creation- Choosing from two genders, 16 races, 4 base classes w/ specialization to 8 advance classes. Anyone can find the class that fit their playing style! There are also 6 fundamental state that makes you unique from any other players!

User friendly interface - fully control your character movement and actions with one finger (tap and swipe)

In-game chat channel - you can chat with your friends with either a private message, gossip in the worldwide channel, in a group or in your private channel that you create! Landscape mode also help with fat fingers! There are also ingame mail and bulletin board! Communication is never a problem!

Fully functional vendor and unique NPC - you can sell and buy items from vendor in different cities. Many other NPC have unique behaviour and it is up to the player to find out how to interact with them; very often these NPC are the key to a quest, area or items.

Open ended gameplay - with 60 level mortal level. 7 champion level and 7 immortal level. It will take a new player a few months to get to lvl 60 which gives you tons of game time. And that's where the real fun begins! The game realm has over 20 huge zones with over 50-100 rooms. These zones are guarded by different level of mobs. There are always a few areas where a player can go hunt and level. Many of the high level zones require a group of players to conquer but the rewards are irresistable!

Unlimited group experience and player interaction - players are free to group with each other to hunt and level together. With so many combination of classes, any class with find themselves useful within a group. If you like solo, there are classes avaiable as well. Unlike other rpg games on the app store, this is real time grouping and fighting, players need to cooperate and coordinate to conquer the battle.

Thousands of equipments - with 20 different spots on your body to equip yourself, you can customize your character base on the strengh and weakness.

Guilds and houses system - a group of players can start their own guild and compete with other guilds. There are various enhancement and upgrade for purchase to make your guild stronger and more like a big family! If you like to be alone, you can work on your own house with similar ungraded avaiable!

Friendly community and game master (GM) support - the player base consists of mostly mature players which respect and help each other. Most players are from the age of 2x to 4x. There are also game master online most of the time to help with questions and bugs.

PvP arena - players can challenge each other for a duel. Winning a duel has a chance to get a quest item. It is also a good way to test your stength!

Quest system - quest master in game to provide various style of quests over time. Successful completetion of quest will grant you either gold or quest point to purchase unique upgrades to your character!

Other important features - auction house, unlimited character creation, banking system, etc.

Honestly, if you have read the review up till now, you should be serious enough to get the game. BUT wait, you don't even have to spend the 5.99 yet; you can try out the lite version which allows you to level up to lvl 11. So go and experience the game! BUT wait, I have to stress that this game is VERY tough at the beginning. Difficult because Bedlam is simply not a simple game, there are tons of features and that's why one may found them confused or lost. But if you are a serious mmorpg player and you read the ingame help file and ask questions in chat channel. You will pick it up in no time.

Are you ready for the challenge?? Download the game today and give it a try!

My character name is Awu/Nazareth. I will be glad to help anyone.

Now this, my friend, is a much more helpful review! Had this review with pics as it is popped up and gotten interest, it would make a lot more sense. I am interested in trying this out; unfortunately, my house internet is the suxors and won't allow my iPod touch to connect and while I am at coffee shop, I have writing work to do, so until my nice Apple Router and the Korean password system can play nice, I'll have to stay away.

I am an old Red Dragon player... gee golly, like 15 years ago!

My iPod is trouble free, it is my internet router which is the problem, so even computers cause trouble sometimes. I WILL join eventually!
