Default Removing unused language packs problem

Hey, it Thunderclaw again. I know I've been gone for a while, but now I'm back. :P

Anyway, I've been trying to remove the unnecessary language packs from my iPod Touch 2nd Gen by following ChiffaNe's tutorial but I've been having a problem.

I was able to put the file into /var/mobile/ using iPhone Folders.

On my iPod Touch, I was able to log-in and got to this point:
    "/var/mobile root#"

But after typing in ./(the file name), I get: "Permission denied"

I checked out some other tutorials on the same subject, and one thing that they mention is that I need to change permissions to 0755. However, I was unable to find such an option in Windows Explorer(Windows 7), so I downloaded WinSCP.

The problem here is that, for some reason, I'm unable to SSH to my iPod Touch.

I put in the right IP Address and the right username and password, but I get "Network error: Connection refused"

    Can anyone help me?

    Thunder,

To allow SSH access you need to install a special package from Cydia first. At the same time this is a thing I would really advise against as it opens up your iDevice to all sorts of remote attacks. I would instead advise to use iFile and change permissions using it so that the owner has "read/write/execute" and the group and world have read/write
