    Default Any Photographers?

Hi, I thought since I have brought over a bunch of Gamercast members, let's return the favor

I started a thread regarding photography assignments over there and if you think this could be something for you, go ahead, register and get involved.

Pretty good ideas there... pretty good. Actually, I've been busy photographing headphones, amps, and pretty girls over the last 4 months and will probably sell my wife to afford the 24-70mm 2,8 Nikon standard zoom lens. I just got an injection of credit which will push 1000$ toward it. But, I'll sell my 18-70 mm 3,5-5,6 and probably my 100mm 2,8 Micro in order to still afford the expensive lens. It will be worthwhile though as that one lens will mean outdoors/indoors and even product shots can be done with relative ease.

Next: 70-200 2,8 zoom and eventually the 14-24 2,8. Sucker for punishment? Yes. Sucker for poor lenses? No.

You can say the 70-200 2,8 is exercise equipment and not a hobby. Its the perfect muscle trainer for your arms and back.

And I need it: my back is as weak as a politician. The new Nikon is a bit lighter and shorter than the old one, but it is ugly. Kind of like the 2003 version of the 2,8 VR I. But... since they both cost around the same and the new one has better optics, I may save for that one.

Hey Nine - just got really lucky: my wife's father had a wonderfully rich month at work and wanted to get us something. So, she bough expensive Camper shoes, a handbag and a dress (wow!), and I was able to get 800$ paid toward the Nikon 24-70 2.8 G. I traded the rest of my lenses in (including a lens I paid less than the trade-in price for) and got a brand new professional lens! It does most of what I need: close up with good/decent low-light performance, but also has razor-sharp focusing and is simply superbly sharp all the time.

Took loads of pics while out on the town yesterday and will get some more headphone photos up and out... yikes!

    Consider me jealous.

I'm looking forward to see some pics of your new baby

Well, now that I'm down to one lens, I cannot take any pics of my new baby, but... I can try taking some and flickr'ing them! First things' first: headphones!

Your lens has some incredible nice bokeh. But it's so crisp in focus that you have to start cleaning up the pictures now (dust particles on the "HPA-iBassoT3D-glamour-INOUT" picture for example. With more (photographic) power comes more responsibility

That's a very interesting picture, and sharp as a tack.
