I just recently purchased Twistum, and I can say that it surpassed my expectations in the fun factor. I bought it on a whim to compete in an Open Feint high score contest, and I ended up really enjoying it. The object of the game is to catch the falling fruit (bananas, apples and grapes) in the appropriate baskets which you have to shuffle around to the right spot. This grows more challenging during each round. The magical monkey wants to thwart your efforts in being a successful fruit catcher. Level 3 introduces giant leaves that hide the falling fruit, revealing them right before they reach the baskets. Level 4 will have you detonating bombs thrown by the monkey before they reach your baskets. In level 5, the pesky monkey does a switcheroo on the fruit right before it falls into the baskets sending you into a panic to switch the baskets around to catch them. Needless to say I haven't come close to passing level 5. Did I mention that the fruit falls a little faster with each round?

OpenFeint sweetens this 99 cent deal, by providing accomplishments to unlock and a global leaderboard. The person who won the high score contest reached a level of over 250,000 points. My highest so far is around 36,000. You get massive bonus points for each perfect level and those bonus points grow exponentially with each level because of more fruit to catch and depending on your longest streaks of successfully caught fruit.

Overall this is a great game of the casual variety and well worth .99, but beware of the monkey. He'll drive you up a tree for sure!
