Default iPod touch 2G - RMAA (Right Mark Audio Analyzer) comparison with Fuze V2

The iPod touch 2G is an excellent source for a variety of headphones and earphones: low hiss, great linear frequency response, and a decent range of volume output. I think it would be near perfect if it had just a little less background hiss and a better volume control as with some earphones, level one on the volume rocker is too loud.

The following graphs represent the iPod touch 2G playing loaded and unload RMAA tests and captured with the Edirol Firewire FA66. The results should only be compared with my equipment and earphones and used as a reference at TouchMyApps.

I don't understand anything of that but I hope the iPhone is as good as the touch.

From what I understand, it may be better. The touch does a remarkable job, but it isn't perfect. The cheap little fuze is a bit better for expensive balanced armature earphones, but both are hampered by a gutless EQ system.

Here are loaded tests: the real meat which discerns if a source is able to output quality signal to its output device (in this case, earphones). Again, results are referenced against the Fuze.
