(Even though I did successfully make alcohol with fruit.) I read that I could make a tart from honeycomb, but I threw it at the jaguar.

You have to give her some perfume (made with alcohol) shell necklace (combine shellfish with holes with cord), flower, austral thyme, pine nuts, alcohol or nuts.

Yes, I tried all those except nuts (I think I gave them all to jep.) I reloaded a saved version of the game and went back to before I used the still. I was able to make perfume with gardenia if I did it before I made alcohol, but I couldn't make the perfume if I'd already made the alcohol. Gave her necklace and perfume and she is happy so I'm moving on. Definitely think there was a problem there though.
