    Default Altec Lansing

I've been using a set of Altec Lansing speakers on all of my computers for years. I'm not sure they carry them anymore, but any set they produce that comes with a subwoofer is worth getting. The sound is amazing and will fill up your house/apartment with great highs and lows.

I can't believe no one is talking about the Apple speaker dock!? Haha, that thing was rubbish. Well, I used to hook my iPod up via mini jack to my HiFi and... that was good. Had a 1300$ amp driving some (sadly cheap but loud) speakers and it was mint - loved it. Clear, powerful, and bass was to die for. Before I left Canada, gave the amp (which I found had lost its value as Sharp pulled out of North America) to a fellow head-fier. he gave me iTunes tickets. Now I have ICE CUBE Raw Footage!

I have an Altec Lansing speaker for my iTouch that worked great till the power button broke. It still sounds great I just need to use something to keep the pwr button pressed in. For my pc I'm pleased with the Creative speakers and subwoofer I bought a couple years back.

^^ sounds like Louis! He bought some 5,1 Creative or LogiTech speakers years ago, but sadly, he only used them for PC gaming. They weren't what I would call 'audiophile', but they did pack a punch, and because they were for the PC, they of course, were powered (amped).

I think it's a good thing for my wallet that my ears don't "support" audiophile quality. lol. My kids hear all sorts of tones that are beyond my range!

Yes, I agree. I try to keep all the accessories on the cheap. I like good sound, but I'm not wiling to fork out over $50 for speakers, etc. I think I paid $30 for my computer speakers.
