I don't know, but Flash needs to be one of them. I really have no opinion, because I'm with a local CDMA carrier and they said that they would never get the iPhone because it
has different hardware than what they support. They're really pushing the HTC Hero. I'm the proud owner of an ipod touch, which I love.

Like some have posted, I'm thinking that they will start using their own chip (like that A4 in the iPad) and that it brings better processing power and energy efficiency.

I think Apple doesnt give much of a damn about Flash now since HTML5 since to be developing up pretty well.

    Default 4G Coverage.

I have 4G internet right now through CLEAR, I am also a CLEAR rep here in Charlotte NC.
At the moment 4G coverage is spotty at best unless you live in the Urban settings of major cities, it is fast but even with my 4G card I can move out of 4G coverage which is only 3G.
Also there is a monopoly on the towers now via Sprint. AT&T has 'No' 4G right now as far as I know. CLEAR who is basically where the technology originates is owned by Google, Sprint, Time Warner and mostly owned by Clearnet, who is now CLEAR.
I don't see AT&T customers getting 4G anytime soon, unless AT&T is outfitting all of their towers as I write this thread.
    Mind you I don't know.

I'm only going to talk about hardware seeing how multitasking and such are software related and can be added to any iDevice with an update.

I expect it to of course have more internal memory options (64 GB for sure at least)
Hopefully a flash for the camera, like the blackberry one at least those are awesome

While I don't imagine that this year will be the year of 4G coverage, talk of the iPhone 4G is probably more closely related to it being the 4th generation of hardware. 3G of course, is ancient, having been employed nearly a decade in parts of the world. But 4G is another matter. If it catches on in Asia and Europe, expect North America to straggle behind for years.

The problem is that the term 4G as in 4. generation would clearly confuse a lot of potencial customers for believing they would get a 4G cell connection. Apple has always made a big deal about refraining from cryptic/confusing names for their products. Unless the iPhone really sports a 4G cellular connection I don't think the name will be "iPhone 4G".

If I had to guess a name right now my bet would be "IPhone HD". "High Def." is such a great marketing term at the moment that I can see Apple easily jump the bandwagon.

Thinking of marketing terms... 3D is even more "in" rigth now. Imagine one of those new glassless 3D screens that was shown on this years CES on the new iPhone. Now link this together with multitasking where you can actually see the inactive task lying underneath the foreground app in 3D space. ... ... ... Okay maybe for the 6G or 7G. But a guy may dream...

I don't think they actually can since it is a hardware issue and not a software one. My hope is that they ould actually spend some time on improving protection of the software.
