Ripping CD's - Today was 'old fashioned' day.

I remember having to burn CDs so I could listen to songs in the stereo player in the shower or car. Cus I didn't have iPods or mp3 players. Just a cd player and bringing that to school... Omg

how I love my touch more and more. Makes life so much easier and enjoyable.

That actually reminds me that a a few weeks ago, I saw someone with a discman (who even knew those things still existed) and it looked so big in comparison to today's MP3 players. It reminded of the days when people used to walk with gettoblasters (sp?) on their shoulders!!! That's how big the discman looked!

I use itunes for ripping. It's good enough for me. Maybe because I don't know better.

That is a good article. I remember reading it a few months back - it even went up at TMA! I actually am looking into getting a portable CD player (pre-jump protection days) for the pretty good output stage. Some were really good (early 90's) and they got progressively worse near the end of the decade to be utter crap with all the jump protection and over caching.

There are kits you can buy for modded Sony CD players which for 300$ sound pretty damn good. Thinking, thinking.

You know, a few days ago I read an article somewhere and this dude had this crazy iPod case that's made of Sony Walkman shell! Geez, don't know where I read it, but I LOLed at the yellow walkman. Good old days of walkman! I was a kid in the 90s, so I didn't have that huge yellow walkman. Got a black walkman then a smaller compact blue walkman. I remember sneaking it into a camp I was at! hahaha...

I still have my cassettes and my mixed tapes. I've seen kids that don't even know how to play a cassette, what more make a mix tape!

Kids today just send NINs Closer via Bluetooth to their friends phone and then hook up via facebook. As a father of two girls I'm really looking forward to break some poor guys bones when he even thinks about touching...

Nine, you sound like my dad! ROFLMAO. I'm 20 something and he still checks who I go out with! LOL. if only he knew that I actually listen to songs like Closer....

Talking about mix tapes, I feel like fly back to my hometown just to dig out that whole box of mixed tapes! LOL

Nine - I feel way behind the curve... I'm 30 and no kids on the horizon for another 2,5 years. And when I was in secondary school, my parents thought NIN were the devil!
