It did reach the #1 spot on the german app store. and is on the #2 spot in the highest grossing list after Navigon. Kudos to Popcap.

    #1 in ten countries
    #2 in six countries
    #3 in five countries
    #4 in three countries
    #5 in three countries.

And very high in a lot of other countries.

I think they have found themselves a winner!

There probably wasn't a whole lot of doubt about that in their minds. I'm pretty sure this has been one of their best sellers on the PC (though I have absolutely NO statistical data to actually back that up). I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy myself a copy of the game.

I'm sure you'll like it. It's really a very polished game and the price is more than fair.

One of the advantages for Popcap is that they had such a following of the game prior to its release. Every other review I read talks about having "Played the PC version and loved it" Many buyers didn't have to wonder if they were spending bad money since they had essentially played the game already.

But there's never a guarantee that the portable version of a game will be the same as the full blown PC version. Now I'll grant you that we are talking about Popcap here, but as an example, have you ever played the Gameboy version of Commander Keen? We're not even talking about a technically challenging game, yet the portable version was horrible compared to the PC version.

Either way I've got my copy now (bought it last night) and I have very few preconceived notions since I haven't played the PC version. We'll see if it makes it onto my one page of "games I hardly ever delete from". Or maybe I'll have to start a second page just for PvZ

Whenever I see "PvZ" I just start thinking Starcraft. Jaedong vs. Bisu! Gogo!

In all truth, I'm just still agape at the fact that popcap actually released this game.
    ...it's pretty awesome, too.

I let my friends know about the game too and they all seem to love it. One friend wanted my touch to play while I left for class but that wasn't going to happen lol. Since I don't go anywhere without it.

Question: Does anyone end up taking advantage of the lawn mowers at the end of a level? Or does your plant setup work so well you do not need the mowers?
