    Default Doom II RPG anyone?

More info: Doom II RPG - doesn't the devil ever sleep?

Wasn't too keen on the original, but that is because my smugness opened up worms after I deviated from Rise of the Triad. Well, Doom II comes to the iPhone with a great engine behind it: Wolfenstein RPG. It is high-resolution and much better for portable play than a full on FPS.

Seems I should contact ID in hopes that they could make the turn-based strategy table tennis game I keep hoping for.

The original Doom made me nauseous. I hope the framerate is a bit improved and less choppy.

When I see this, I feel like "meh".

It seems that, instead of adding an RPG character-improvement element to the tried-and-tested DOOM engine, they rebuilt DOOM to fit an RPG perspective. It's...turn-based...

This is going to be part of my next spending spree. I loved Wolfenstein RPG despite not being a fan of the Wolfenstein series as a whole, so I figure I'll probably enjoy this one as well. Personally, I like the turn based aspect of it. Gives me time to think, and time is something I always need when I'm trying to think

D2 is actually very good, and if you like Wolf RPG, then this should be right up your alley. The big difference will be playing time. From what I've heard, D2 can be completed in a few hours. I've played this for about 3 hours total, and it feels like I'm close to finishing. Wolf RPG can take days depending on how much time you put into it. Either way, D2 is solid for what it is.

I'm not too concerned about play time. If it could be beaten in an hour I might be upset, but the reality is that I don't have 10 hours to spare for each game I play.
