Sweet thread! I was listening to: DJ Tiesto's Elements of Life before the batteries on my FiQuest portable headphone amp died. Now it is charged again, but I'm waiting on the post-man to come!

Yeah, enjoy your own stuff! I live in a shared house with a lot of bad tension: no one watches the TV or tries to be near the house when the others are there. Imagine coming to a foreign country to do research (my wife) and being stuffed into a shared flat with youngins - it has been a disaster. One girl brought her parents to the shared flat (by shared, I mean we have our own room, that is it) for 2 months. Another brings her boyfriend 3-4 times per week to do major cooking projects.

The company, they are like: what? it's perfectly normal to ask people to come to another country to do research and stuff them (a married couple) into a sardine flat with 2 others who have no sense of responsibility or space. No problem. And we are not allowed to have locks on our rooms - against regulations.

I want my own TV - instead, I make do with nice headphones!

I listen to the rant of some workless women about their apprenticeship in a hotel. My coworker manages a project to reintegrate woman who have a hard time to find a job again after they took a maternity leave and every given morning there are a bunch of them complaining that they have to work now again and that this and that isn't okay for them and..... man, I'm growing a dislike for that particular type of person. Instead of being happy that we provide them with all kinds of training courses and traineeship, they rather complain because they cannot sit at home living of wellfare.
