CozyQuest has Returned! (MMORPG)
I'd like to bring CozyQuest to both rpg and mmorpg players attention. It was taken off the market a year ago and put back up and there are so few players right now I believe it is because of the lack of knowlege that it exist and the game is from an indie developer. You will find piles of info on the old version of this game but not the new.
I am suprised that with this new version of cozyquest the developer is finally updating the game almost everyday to fix the bugs and make the game better, but it has a long way to go.
I call it a psuedo mmorpg because it doesn't really act like a true mmo.
CozyQuest offers the following:
Nine classes with skill trees (no gender restriction like many rpgs and mmos)
Lots of colorful artwork and design
Easy to use interface
12 professions; both crafting and gathering types, as well as class specific professions
A tavern to chat with other players (due to lack of players currently, people aren't always there)
A guild system; good for buffs
An auction house
No friend invite codes (YaY!)
You don't have to stop playing like in games from storm8 and zynga
I really don't know how what rpg to compare it to because its mechanics aren't the same as the stuff you find on facebook, games like those from storm8 and zynga; nor is it like other iphone mmos such as World of Magic or Empire Online. It is comprised of 2d artwork and text. Luckly it isn't a lot of text to read. This style won't appeal to everyone. Just like a lot of people love Pocket Legends, I think it is horrible.
The game does cost $1.99 so you will want to go there first to find out more information IMO. There is a cash shop, but for once non of the stuff feels like you benifit that much from it. It is worth a try just for a different rpg/mmorpg experience.
Do expect a lot of bugs at this point, however a bug is fixed nearly everyday. There are character balance issues; I have yet to see the point in spell casting with the necromancer. I recommend playing a merchent first. I wish there were more weapons, armor and quests. Luckly I have seen some items and quests added recently.
I'm noticing I'm typing a lot like I allways do. I really don't know how anyone can keep information short. In fact I hate it when people don't give me enough information. Anyway if you would like to know more about the game, go to cozyquest.com. It's a good idea to go to the site if you are leary of paying the $2.
My rating 4 out of 5.
Why did I post about this game? It is true I wish to see more players online, but most of all I want you to buy my auctions. Hehe. It is expensive to have a guild with buffs.
