When you iPod touch finally dies, how will you dispose of it?

Hmmm... sounds like you've done this (chopping up stuff) more times than you can count. Forum members, if you're reading this, do not disagree/piss off Nullroar. Unless you want to pay a visit to the Han river, make nice and play nice with him.

Back to topic on hand. I can't actually remember ever disposing of ANY of my electronics. My 300lb all-in-compaq presario (pentium I) is just resting (in peace) in the corner of my home office. A few other forsaken gadgets that have simply been boxed away:

- Sony Ericsson p910 cellphone
- Sony D88- CD Compact player
- Compaq iPaq 3800 pocket PC
- Yamaha DD-10 Drum machine
- iPod 30 GB

Perhaps in a 100 years, I'll be able to sell 'em all for a nice profit.

Glad to know I'm not the only hoarder. I have roughly 10 old computers in various states of disrepair sitting in my office. Now in all fairness, several of them are machines that I "inherited" from friends and family that wanted them fixed and then went and bought new ones after they unloaded their "stuff" to me, but still...

I think I will take it to the temple in Lost and let them resurrect it. It may come back at the smoke monster, but that would be freakin awesome to have the smoke monster in my pocket. I just hope he doesn't change my play list to all Marilyn Manson tracks.

^^ I'd be careful with monsters, Anderson - they can be scary. I had a recent scare with my iPod touch: it refused to boot a load of apps which, as anyone would guess by looking at the springboard, were disconnected in the middle of updating. I couldn't use any for a long time and as I have to pay to use wireless internet and cannot tether my touch (I have horrid internet here), I had to calmly go back to the coffee shoppe, buy a large latte, settle in with a sandwich, and put it all down.

Things worked out.

Still, when the 4G touch comes out, I'll probably purchase it and my wife inherit all my hitherto collected games. I just hope the 4G sounds even beefier than the 3G and 2G does... it won't be going to no temple - no way.
