For full review, check out the original article: Monster Turbine Pro Gold in Review - It's time to Par-Tay!

The Turbine was good - very good last year, but the Turbine Pro with better build quality and overall sound, is the Monster earphone you might want to introduce to your parents.

Sound: Still a bassy headphone, this time its focus is on control and pace instead of impact. The entire frequency range is tamer. That means smoother mids and slightly less tweaky highs. Go ahead, listen to rap, rock, classical - it all works. There is less hiss than many colleagues, meaning you can use this earphone pretty well with dirty sources and amps.

Build: This time, the headphone is terminated in a right-angle plug which is much more solid than last year's Turbine. Everything has some sort of flexible fending somewhere - simply much better than last year and overall, for the price, one of the best if not the best in its class. I would put it above professional earphones from a number of manufacturers even though they cost more and are really geared toward the professional market.

Is it worth the price range of 250-300$? Without a doubt it is.
