Are you going to buy an iPad?

I am still on the fence with this one. I really want to like it but the lack of multi-tasking and to a lesser degree flash has me undecided at this point. Flash shouldn't be a hugh issue in the long term. Remember when Firefox first came out? Lots of sites didn't support it, but Firefox didn't go away and the web conformed to its standards.

I'm 99% sure that there will be multitasking in OS 4.0

For sure I'll be buying the iPad. I still can't believe how reasonable the price is. I was expecting it to start at 800 or so, but at 499, that is very very affordable. I don't think i'll need my laptop anymore after I get my hands on the iPad.

Possibly. It's a lot of money for somebody who doesn't have a steady income.

I think it sucks, it's useless, and very unoriginal for a company like Apple to create something like the iPad (and what a name to give it too sheesh). I was disappointed in the announcement and unimpressed overall, it's a total waste of money. Only someone that has no idea how to use a computer could maybe benefit from an iPad instead.

Being app dev company, We'll try to get a few iPads asap.
I wonder if it is possible to buy 3-4 tablets and pass through customs without any problems.

Hmm... I'd strap them to my body and cover up the development package when those x-ray scanners which holistically snap shots of people's bums are in use. I'd be careful even for other reasons!

I think if you unpack them and pass through the customs that way it shouldn't be much of a problem.
