Default Which case do you recommend?

I've been using the same case for about a year and a half, and it's starting to tear because it's very bendy plastic.

I've been thinking of getting this case for my second generation iPod Touch:

    Any recommendations and/or reviews?

Oh, and I don't really like leather ones because I can't press the home button very easily or fit it into my pocket.

What's your price range? What specifics are you looking for- maximum protection, style, features?

    Price range is maximum $50.
For protection, I need something that will not give my iPod Touch a scratch if I drop it. Something that covers the edges of the iPod.
It has to have a place for all of the external buttons/jacks.
Purple, green, orange and white/gray are all fine as colors. I'll take any color though.

    Anything else you need?

Hmm, I say your best bet is either the Switcheasy Rebel M or Torrent for the iPod Touch. If you had an iPhone, I would have recommended Otterbox as the company to go, but Switcheasy makes some nice cases for the iPod Touch that offer pretty good protection.

You checked out the iSkin cases for the Touch yet thunderclaw? They offer good protection, has all the onboard buttons/jacks etc looked after and comes in variety of colors. Not to mention that the price is very reasonable, at $29.99 or lower.

Our giveaway today (and tomorrow) will feature cases for the Touch.

Matthew, would you mind posting a link to both? I'd be eternally grateful.
And louis, I will pray that I win that case.

iSkins is also a reputable and well-known company in the case department, I just don't currently own any of their cases so I'm unable to provide specific feedback on them. But one thing I can tell you about them.. Christian (forgive my butchering of your name, I'm not sure how to spell it...) is a very funny guy that has an adorable cat.

    Thanks!
I'm liking the Torrent and probably will buy it if I don't win this case.

I've used several InCase Sliders over the last few years (different iPhones) and they seem to work quite well.

I would highly recommend either a Speck Candyshell, Speck Seethru Satin or a Switcheasy Torrent. The Candyshell is soft rubber material on the inside and a hard plastic shell, so you get both scratch, drop and shock protection. The Speck seethru satin is similar to the candyshell but instead of having the hard plastic shell on the outside it is a satin covered gel. Finally, the Switcheasy torrent is a two part case, a silicone inside which provides shock protection, while the polycarbonate spine provides drop protection. Plus, all of these cases come in several colors and are priced reasonably.

    Hope I helped,
    ~plooney
