    Default "We Rule" by ngmoco

Yet another huge game by ngmoco. We Rule is aiming to copy Farmville in its gameplay and style.

"You start out with a very small town and not much money. The ultimate goal is to grow your town into a bustling metro and link it to cities created by your friends on their iPhones and iPads. (Yep, ngmoco has confirmed that an iPad edition of We Rule is in the works.) To gain money, you perform small jobs like growing crops or producing goods. To create these essentials, you erect buildings in your town like bakeries and tailors. Over time, you gain gold and experience, which in turn unlocks new buildings that present you with new commerce and social opportunities. Also, the buildings in your town affect the look of the populace. If you build a school, you start to see little student bobbling around. Building a tailor introduces a seamstress to the population. "

I think it will be a cross between Farmville and games like War of Legends and Civony. It will be based on working together with Plus+ friends.

Here's an article about it from IGN:

It looks fun... And I simply adore the graphics but do we have to play with others?

This looks cool. Do you need to be connected to the network to play?

I'm going to assume yes, that it's going to be like Touch Pets, that you must be logged in to the internet as it relies so much on the social aspect and keeping everything up to date which will be handled server side...

Can't wait for this game either!

Added in some more pics and info.

This game will be based totally on the Plus+ network, and you'll even be able to visit your friends' towns and order stuff from them.
Now I wish I had a second iPod Touch. :P

I've not really been drawn to the FarmVille phenomena, but I was actually looking forward to this because of it's lean towards the fantasy elements. However, if it means being social, then I'm probably going to pass. I guess I'm just stuck in my old ways, but I like to keep my game playing to myself for the most part (keep it clean, people!). Then again, by the time it comes out maybe I'll have a change of heart, especially if someone needs me to review it...

I'm all for games that include social networking but I think that there should be a fair amount of offline play as well.

Agree with you on that one. It would be perfect if we could develop our city offline.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes in my posts, I'm using an iPhone to write them

Yeah, previously I downloaded another farm kind of game and I finally tried it out when I didn't have wifi and couldn't play so that's when I deleted it.

So this'll probably be a no-go for me. But at least they have GodFinger.

Why would you need a 2nd gen touch? You'll probably just need to be connected online to visit friends' towns, not bluetooth...at least that's what I hope and expect.
