GodFinger, anyone?

I personally can't wait for GodFinger by ngmoco to come out.

"You are the titular deity appendage. You have reign over a small globe and its people. You want these wee folk to be your followers, so you must interact with them in ways to cause both fear and awe. The more followers you have and the happier they are, the more you level up – which in turn increases the size of your planet. You have control over all of the elements in GodFinger, which play into pleasing the people. You may see a girl looking all sad because she needs sunshine. Either pick her up and take her to the sun or bring the sun to her. But be mindful of where you place that sun, though, because extended exposure can create a desert. "

ng:community roundup...
Last week we kicked off the ng:community. Members not only receive exclusive news (like the very first details on GodFinger and We Rule), but will also be called upon to help us improve these games once they hit the App Store. We’re also dropping new details about these games into ng:community exclusive Facebook and Twitter channels.

Here’s what the ng:community learned last week:


The importance of followers.

Followers make your planet go round. Without them, you’re a powerless god.

Your super powers require mana. Without mana, you won’t be able to convert new followers, strike denizens with lightning or do much of anything. Get more mana by commanding your followers to worship at your shrine.

Beware of skeletons.

They are bad. They like to eat followers for breakfast. Kill ‘em dead, again.

Why you should care about building buildings

There are three main building types in GodFinger. Those that earn you mana, those that earn you gold, and those that will keep your followers from working to exhaustion.

This week we’ll be focusing on We Rule. And have fun things planned for the future—like community-led QAs with the teams behind these two titles.

OMG! I saw the article posted by theappera and I was like, omg, that's so my kind of game.
I already love the concept of Pocket God so this'll be super interesting.

But I do prefer Pocket God's graphics more than this. SO EXCITED FOR IT though!

based on the video I like the graphics /cuteness of pocket god better. It seems to offer up something a bit different than PG but I'm not sure that will be enough for me to get it.

will it beat pocket god? No. PG has a big head start, lots of fans, and an almost iconic character with their pygmy that also appears in several other apps. If there were a dictionary entry for this "genre" PG would (and will) be the example.

Of course now that I have posted this I'm sure Godfinger will prove me wrong!
