"Only after it starts misbehaving"
I normally have no problems..
only when it gets messed up all of a sudden.. i typically have no problems after installing apps.
the glitches scare me every time :[
Several times a month, usually every week, since I install a lot of apps. On daily basis I use sbs settings to free memory
I reboot about once a month. There's no need as I use my iPod Touch constantly.
Respringing, however, I do about every other day.
generally I have to reboot after I use Skype :D Worst-optimized iphone app ever!
I reboot after each installation, so could be almost a daily affair.
I reboot daily mostly because of precaution (safety issue). I'm on a MacBook Pro, btw. I've read of cases of MacBooks waking up from sleep by themselves in people's bags/cases and then overheating. While that might be a problem only for earlier generation models, I'd rather not take the risk so I shutdown whenever I move between places, unless it's for a presentation or something that I know I'd need an 'instant-on' wake.
I rarely reboot. If there are problems, I consider it, but generally, it isn't a problem. When I am testing amps and headphones, I reboot because the iPhone/iPod touch can build up a memory for headphones which cause problems.
It is sometimes better to reboot to clear some residue memory.
