iPad 2: Tool or Toy. Article at DPReview
Louis got me into DPReview back in the day that he sold me a grossly overpriced Sony digital camera. Yeah, I though he was my mate, but it turns out he was trying to string a profit from me. He did. I used that camera well for about 2 years, but replaced the bloody proprietary batteries twice, at over 80$ a piece.
Anyway, DPReview has weltered the many years quite well and I still read it. I also post there, and from time to time, share my own photography there as well. So, when they came up with the iPad 2: Tool or Toy article, I jumped with joy.
It isn't the most comprehensive look at a piece of tech I've seen. Actually, it's quite shallow. But it highlights how the iPad 2 can be used as a photographic aid. Check it out and tell me what you think.
Personally, my iPad is always in my camera bag. I offload images with it, run Photogene over photos I just want to upload to Flickr quickly, trim the fat (bad pics) from my disk, and write most of my articles on it. indispensable is the only word I can use for it.
