i hope you can archieve everything without buying something
I wouldn't be surprised if they use the same structure they have with Eliminate and Touch Pets....limited time to play and then pay for it to count....but you can play for free but for short bursts.
I'm guessing this is their new business model, but that's just a guess.....
I can admit it really bothered me at first, but in the end, I guess I really dont' have any complaints. I've been able to get most of the achievements in both Eliminate and Touch Pets, and agree that limiting me to 10-15 minutes per day suits my playing style just fine. Considering there are so many games to play daily, I realy have no problem with this scheme anymore.
Eliminate is free and look at its success.
New update from ngmoco's blog:
ng:community roundup...
Last week we kicked off the ng:community. Members not only receive exclusive news (like the very first details on GodFinger and We Rule), but will also be called upon to help us improve these games once they hit the App Store. We’re also dropping new details about these games into ng:community exclusive Facebook and Twitter channels.
Here’s what the ng:community learned last week:
The importance of followers.
Followers make your planet go round. Without them, you’re a powerless god.
Your super powers require mana. Without mana, you won’t be able to convert new followers, strike denizens with lightning or do much of anything. Get more mana by commanding your followers to worship at your shrine.
Beware of skeletons.
They are bad. They like to eat followers for breakfast. Kill ‘em dead, again.
Why you should care about building buildings
There are three main building types in GodFinger. Those that earn you mana, those that earn you gold, and those that will keep your followers from working to exhaustion.
This week we’ll be focusing on We Rule. And have fun things planned for the future—like community-led QAs with the teams behind these two titles.

I wasn't really into pocket god but I'll try this, it could be good. My only problem is that it might become boring fast, like touchpets
Agreed.
At first, I was angry I couldn't play with my dog for more than 15 minutes, and now I'm bored playing with it for 15 minutes just to get those achievements. It's the exact same thing every single day...there really is no imagination in terms of having anything special happen on any day. You do the grooming activities, then the training activities, socialize, and maybe a few work goals. It's all the same.
I sure hope this won't be as redundant, and certainly hope it's not like Pocket God. That is one entertainment app (because IT'S NOT A GAME!!!), that I cannot comprehend the success behind. It gets updated regularly, and that's its claim to fame? But I digress...
Anyways, all this to say I too hope it's not like Pocket God, or as boring as Touch Pets. :)
Let's hope it's much better than pocket god (after awhile there's no point) since you have tasks to do and it seems more cooler to torture the people.
And to get followers and all that.
