I found these tips (http://www.tonyherman.com/tech/bejeweled-blitz-tips-and-hints.html) to be very helpful in getting some higher scores in Bejeweled Blitz. I still don't know how people manage to get 250,000 and above :D

thx for the tips mrholder. Will have to check them out. I can't remember my high score for bejeweled, but I know i'm not very good at all! :) Gets way to crazy in the later stages of the game!

Yes, it's hard to do much scoring with the 1 minute time limit, lol

My best score was 417,350 pts with a 6x multiplier (which activated in the last 10 seconds). It's all about getting the multipliers. I try not to concentrate on figuring out how to break them once I see one... I just do damage around them, and an opportunity presents itself eventually.

That's an awesome score GrandpaBob! Were you playing online or on the iDevice? I find it harder to play online with the mouse.

Thanks for the link! Will put it to great use the next time I'm on iDevice Blitz. I've scored pretty high above the 250 medal on my iPod. Being a Bejeweled addict (high score to date 431,900 on FB), I intend to break my own high score on my iPod. :D

My highest is 250k+ only, but I tell myself to restart if I dont get a 2x by 50 seconds. The 5-in-a-row gem that is created also wastes quite abit of time on low multipliers.

Wow, that's great. Just wish I knew the secret to getting those kinda scores. My highest is just over 100,000.

How high of a multiplier is needed, generally? The highest one I've got was around 5x right before the game was over. I guess I'm slow.
