I'm trying to get a picture of the world as it is and would like to know whether you have actually Jailbroken /andunlocked your iDevice. Please note that we're in no way affiliated with Apple so your secret is safe with us!

No, i love the "It just works" apple mentality. If I want to hassle with the hardware/softwareI could have bought a win mobile phone for way less.

Yes, but only to use SBS settings and Winterboard

No, I don't jailbreak. But, I may jailbreak the old one when I get a new ipod touch, just to see what I was missing.

My phone is jailbroken, however I plan to go back to being a real legitimate user soon.
The tethered JB really scares me, but I really like SBSettings too

All my friends basically have it but I don't want to join wagon. I really like how it is now but I think it's an OCD matter for me :b. Of course, it'd be nice if apple added a few cool features that jailbreaks have.

I've thought about it, but never actually got around to doing it. I'm fine with what I got without jailbreaking it. If something really awesome is released for it, then i'll make the switch.

I Jailbreaked my 1G iPod touch and now my new one is also freed. The thing is that when I bought the 1G, there was no App Store, so jailbreaking was the only way to enjoy fun other than a few web apps. Now, my 2G is jailbreaked, but the only function I used was multitasking. The thing is that it is pretty useless for my uses and drains battery waaaaay too fast especially as I forget that I had something tooling away in the background!
I have a jailbreaked device that is doing nothing at all!

Never did a JB on the V1 or 3G because of lag and other problems. My 3GS is JB and I love it. It has enough ram to handle the process. Using Blackra1n is a breeze and you can do so many things a stock phone cant. I can run multiple programs in the background, have different themes, switch between functions on the fly, have 5 icons on the dock. The list goes on. You can also have folders for groups of apps like games, travel, ect.

Jailbroke my iPod Touch 2G on OS 3.0 and 3.1.2. The Blackra1n jailbreak was waaaay easier than the 3.0 jailbreak. Probably took less than 10 seconds.

There is a new FW update for the phone today (3.1.3). DO NOT update if you are jailbroke.

Jailbroken. Backgrounder alone makes it more than worth the hassle.
Yes, yes, and yes. All our devices are jailbroken - a must for developers.

Have my iPhone 3GS 32GB Jailbroken, can't live without it. I don't go full on with all the jailbreaking stuff people do but for basic essentials (which the standard iPhone OS lacks in big time) I definitely need to have my iPhone jailbroken it makes it even more useful.

my device is j/b only. I love the freedom. There are several Cydia apps that Apple will probably never apply to their own OS like Bitesms, 3g Unrestrictor, and SBSettings. I'm hopeful that with the new iPhone due for release this summer I will be able to continue to have my phone j/b.
For the poll I clicked on "no I don't condone jailbreaking" because it was the best choice for me. A better wording for my situation would have been "know about it but choose not to". Condone almost implies I would be against it for moral reasons or something like that. If others want to jailbreak thats fine by me. I like my iTouch as it comes for the most part and am not willing to mess around with programming or able to void the warranty.

Just stating for the record. If a JB device ever needed warranty attention, all you have to do is restore the device as new and there is no way to tell it had ever been JB.
I suppose it's obvious but I had no idea one can " JailFix "

Yeah, you sure can. But this post is really about saying I like your Sig.

Thanks! I just wish I could say I had the originality and talent to write it! :)
All that JB & warranty talk is strange... if you buy a black car and paint it red, should it be a reason not to fix it under warranty?

Not sure what you are getting at, but if you JB your device if void's the warranty. That's why you have to restore as new before taking it to Apple for a problem. This applies weather it is in warranty or not, but especially under warranty.

If you paint ur black car red, it doesnt void warranty. However, if you modify the engine and it blows up, im pretty sure thats not covered under the warranty. JB mods the files on the idevice. painting it would be like scratching the screen or something similar. But most likely, apple wont be able to tell if you jb if you can restore it completely...
Ah c'mon, uncle Steve is still on 3.1.2... maybe he's waiting for 3.1.3 to be jailbroken? :D

Oh yeah, SBSettings is amazing. Maybe Steve likes it as well and that's why he's on 3.1.2? I would really love to see them integrate the same features in the OS itself!
