View Full Version : Zombies VS Vampires - who do you think would win?

I am scared of zombies and worry since the air can be pretty bad in this part of the world and people in Seoul already drive like their brains are detached. But, I got to thinking: would the sheer numbers of zombies help them to overwhelm the few, but exotic vampires? The latter have got skills and looks, but zombies are nigh on indestructible.
What do you think? Who would win? If you choose 'neither', explain why it would be a draw.
I tend to agree with this assessment (http://www.fvza.org/vandz.html) unless zombiism really really took off and everyone started doing it ;), then vampires would have a really, really hard time. I mean, in an ideal world, vampires would simply destroy zombies. I reckon I could take out a few and I'm not even immortal!

Hands down Vampires would win :) at lest in this stand-off.

Zombies would simply overpower the vampires in a full-on zombie apocalypse. There would be billions of Zombies against few hundred zombies and it would take only a single bite from a zombie to turn a Vampire into a gay sparkling super zombie.
And even if they could fend of the zombies they'd simply starve to death because there wouldn't be humans left to feed of.
Just take this BBC movie for an example how many relatively weak can overpower a strong opponent:

And don't forget that in the end there will only be the Purple Tentacle left.

Crabs and ants, though, are different. And, I smell too many ifs in your theory. In current conditions: 24 million zombies in the world at tops and none of them working on coherent order, the vampires have the upper hand. If Vampires suddenly rose up out of their blood-sucking Samsung offices, they would take on humanity, bringing it under the vampire rule and crush all 24 million zombies. But that is an 'if' statement too and pointless.
Besides, I've never seen any of my vampire friends fall prey to zombie juice and believe me, they let themselves get bitten as per rite of passage.

I would have said Vampires... but after watching the Ants Vs Crab video, I may have to switch sides and put my money on the zombies. 24 million Zs can easily overcome hundreds or even thousands of vamps. But if however, there were an equal number of Zombies and Vampires, I'm not sure the Zs stand a chance.

So there are 24 million zombies, most are contained within the natural confines of South Korea and since most can't drive anyway, they'd die on the way to attacking China and even zombies cannot swim as far as Japan.

Zombies doesn't need to swim. They can simply walk all the way underwater. Since they're not dead they doesn't need any oxygen and unlike vampires they doesn't need to feed in order to survive. Their hunger only makes them more aggressive and powerful.
And they're not limited to Korea only. They can at least command ships (see exhibit A. and B.)

I suspect the modern Zombies are able to even fly planes.
I know you root for the vamps but let's face the facts for a moment.
Zombies:
No need to feed
Can walk by daylight
Can turn every being into their ranks with a single bite
Are pretty reasonable. At least they're not gonna eat your eyes.
Vampires:
Vulnerable to sunlight and teenage girls
Need a constant diet of blood
Cannot stand the smell of garlic
Can be turned away by cross symbols
Need sleep
Dissolve in sacred water
Bela Lugosi
Vampires doesn't stand the tiniest chance.

Vampires:
Vulnerable to sunlight and teenage girls
Vampires doesn't stand the tiniest chance.
Point well made. I think all you need to do then is get some Bella look-a-likes to seduce the vampires. They'll soon turn into lovers (not fighters)

ChiffaN, I need some support here! The ones from Carribean movies are NOT zombies, they are just walking undead. zombies have little to NO brain activity and those had lots.
Walking undead and zombies are as different as can be. Both, however, have purposes. One must fulfil the requirements of a curse to go back to the grave, and the other must eat flesh.
I bet you the ants could take care of zombies pretty quickly.

The first one is the Zombie Pirate LeChuck. He has the Zombie right in his name. So I guess it's pretty legit to call him a Zombie.
Also in the Marvel Zombies series the zombified Heroes show some higher brain functions too. With so many zombies you get smart ones and stupid ones. Just like the Gremlins.

Shiggs, no worries, we'll get 'em :)
My point plain and simple:
a) Vampire canNOT be turned into zombies since they are already dead and are immune to everything BUT things listed above.
b) Throw a couple of nukes and all zombies are wiped out. All vampires will need is keep enough clean livestock (humans) to procreate and that's all - war ended :)

I guess we have to settle first if a Vampire can turned into a Zombie or not. The problem is that the retrovirus that turn a human into a vampire (HMHVV-BL (the Bruckner-Langer strain)) is from the same base virus that turn a human into a Zombie or Ghul (HMHVV, Krieger (the Krieger strain)).
Since you can fall prey to several virus infections of the same base strain it'd say it's a given that a Zombie can turn a Vampire into a Zompire.
Though this is just the common metavirus that occures naturally. It stands to discuss what happens with combinations of human made Virus strains like the Umbrella T-Series). I can not say how this strain will affect a Vampire upon infection.

^^ I think it's fair to ask for references for the above information.
